3 season ending injuries in a row, he's definitely lost a step, he loves the New England area, and he knew the Pats weren't going to re-sign him.

He's one of the few cases where I think he really loves this area and community and just wants to stay. I've heard reports that he's taking a coaching position within the Patriots' organization, or he's going to do some local journalism. He's been a big part of the local sports shows for years and is extremely well liked.

I think the NFL is going to see a lot more of this. Players retiring before the age of 30 to preserve their bodies. Luckily for Mayo, he has so many avenues he can take, because he's so popular around here.

Honestly, I thought Vince Wilfork was going to do the same thing. I was kind of shocked that Vince left for a new team, because he's INSANELY popular here. They still have billboards of Vince for local businesses lol.

Too bad we still have f---ing McDaniels. I wish this a------ would take a head coaching position and f--- off.

I guarantee he's lobbying to bring in Matt Forte. Then we'll have 3 backs with the same f---ing role, instead of getting another bruiser with Blount.

White and Lewis is all we need for the receiving back role. We need another power back.

All he wants to do is put Brady in shot gun and look for mismatches. I'd much rather have Brady have a strong running game, operate under center, run two tight ends, and confuse the f--- out of defenses.

Honestly? Yes.

It really depends on the value though. If the Eagles trade a first rounder? Pats would be all over it, because it would enable them to draft in the first round.

I'm unclear on which draft pick they'd lose though. I'm pretty sure it'd be the earliest pick, so the Pats would end up (technically) with two first rounders, then would lose the earlier one, which would mean they'd draft at 29th in the first round. I think they'd take that, for Jimmy G.

I really believe that they believe Tom has 4 more years in him. He showed no signs of regressing, and has had no substantial injuries, other than his knee in 2008.
