its not a sure thing--but jaguars and jets are likely taking a QB--which means the 9ers must really like one of these QBs to move up from 12 to 3. that's a big jump. i really doubt they're moving up that many spots to take a WR or TE lol

Seems just like the 49ers to start the year with an older, average QB and then make the switch to a raw, athletic QB from a smaller school, and ride it out to a super bowl appearance. Hopefully this time no one gets blackballed out of the league

Yeah, I just feel like Wilson is bound to bust just because he’s a Jet. I trust Kyle Shannahan to help whoever his QB ends up being more than any other situation a rookie ends up in

I think Justin Fields in the 49ers system would excel almost immediately. Give Zach Wilson a weapon or two in NY & he has the ability to ball out too but that may take minute for the Jets to be able to build around him.

in other news, the panthers traded for quarterback Sam Darnold. Jets got a 6th round pick, a fourth round pick and a second round pick for Darnold

I’m glad Darnold is getting a fresh start. He was drafted into a terrible situation. I don’t know if he’ll do good in Carolina, but I think he deserves another shot and is in a better situation now

also, starting this season there’s gonna be 17 regular season games. And Goodell said he’s expecting FULL NFL stadiums this season. Whether it’ll actually happen, who knows. But that’s what they’re aiming for

I don’t know how I feel about Darnold because of his situation in NY but I feel better about the Wentz deal after seeing this one come down.

I wouldn’t be surprised with full stadiums if trends continue. sports in general are becoming more open to fans coming back. Look at the UFC with a full venue coming up and Texas had a full 40k or so at a baseball game. As long as numbers don’t begin to spike I am hopeful we will see a normal NFL season this year.

Really hoping Trey Lance/Mac Jones is still on the board at 10 so Cowboys can trade back. That’s my dream scenario right now.

I would also be good with drafting: Pitts, Surtain, Slater, Chase, Smith or Waddle.

I would not be good with: Parsons, any DE

Hoping one of the good offensive lineman slip in the draft. We desperately need offensive line help. Other than that we could use a pass rusher on the opposite side of Danielle Hunter.

@M.I.C. How do you feel about getting Lawrence? Like it? Also thoughts on hiring of urban Meyer?

It doesn’t even seem real. It’ll be cool to see the Jags keep getting more attention than ever before, I love the splash hire of Urban but don’t think it matters nearly as much as it seems, he’s mostly just a figurehead.

As for TL just being cautiously excited and optimistic, either he saves football in Jacksonville or there will be a team in London full time in 10 years, the stakes are pretty high but this couldn’t all be happening at a more important time.
