    Just joined, first time ever doing this. I always watch but never really kept track of stats other than my favorite players. Need to start doing my research :ohno:

    I usually fizzle out by the midway point of the season but hopefully I can remember to set my line-ups and pounce on the waivers list this season. :ohno:

    You have to set your line-up daily.

    Waiver list is when people cut players and you pick them up. It's strategic.

    Don't worry man I'm a noob myself. :sad1:

    been playing fantasy basketball since 08 i believe, i only do pay leagues though.

    so basically theres a certain amount of spots for your starters (the players who'll get you points for that day). sometimes you'll have too many players and some will have to go to the bench (whatever points they made won't count towards your points if they're on the bench). you'll of course wanna put your better players on the starting line up, and the worse ones on the bench.

    that's what he means by making sure his line up is good.

    the waiver list is the list of free agents (players who none of us own). sometimes, you'll find pretty good players on there and you can pick them up in exchange for someone you have that you may feel for whatever reason isnt as good. if one of your players gets injured and you see he'll be out for 2+ months, you'd probably wanna drop him and pick someone up from the waiver.
