Sacramento secretly building a quiet storm... Lots of young talent with sniper range, and two key veteran signings, both of whom play with alot of heart and passion.
Z bo gonna teach them big men how to play lowpost, Hill gonna nurture the inner Chris Kyle in Buddy Buckets. Really impressed with their front office so far.eddie, The Gooch and Ordinary Joel like this. -

Malcolm Brogdon just won rookie of the year.... he's definitely the long term guy they want playing point. D Rose would probably want more $ than MIL can offer him, so I don't see it happening unless they can get him cheap. Dont want him eating cap space with all the young guys they have and will want to extend. WOuldnt be a horrible fit tho.Lil Squeed, Ordinary Joel and Jakey like this. - Mar 26, 2026

Yea Wall can find a better big 3 to be a part of then Otto Porter and an injury prone Beal. He'll be gone once Summer of 2019 comes around.Poohdini, Ordinary Joel and Bourbon Ben like this. -

They didn't really have a choice when it came to Otto. They didn't have any significant cap space so it was either resign Otto which doesn't count against the cap or let him walk and only be able to sign a player for the vet min (or the MLE if they still have that available.)
Their cap situation actually isn't terrible. At least the long term cap future.
For the next 2 years they're pretty much going to be the same team barring a significant trade. But in 2 years everyone not named Beal, Porter (assuming the wiz match) & Ian becoming free agents (not including rookies). Ian is going to be on the last year of his contract so they should be able to move him.
That leaves just Beal and Porter. They'll probably have somewhere around 30-40 mil in cap space that they'll be able to spend in free agency and then they could go over the cap to resign John Wall.Ordinary Joel, 416ixers and Bourbon Ben like this. -

Don't have money to spend and young guys are chasing the paper not rings. Cavs and Warriors will still get all the role players everyone else wants during buyout season, like Deron and Bogut. Neither of them really worked out, due to injuries and Deron just being washed but the favorites still have their pick of the litter in that aspect.Ordinary Joel, Enigma and CavalierTD like this.
