    I think he wanted to win plus the guard market dried up really fast.. and to go along with his injury history, he would've been a 6th man at best on most teams that were interested. I bet LA or MIL would've offered more than the vets min though.

    True. & Kyrie has no leverage. The Cavs can send him wherever they feel like they can get the best deal. I think Eric Bledsoe would be a great replacement. I think if the Cavs get Melo & Bledsoe that would be a decent return. But this all makes that blown PG13/Bledsoe trade more painful.

    its funny cause the rule that supposedly was targeted to support lighter markets (teams) keep their stars is really applying real pressure to overpay, and potentially handicap those same teams into reupping their marginal/role players
