    they've won at least 50 games every year for as long as i can remember. I strongly believe Popovich is the greatest coach of all time. The discipline his teams have is amazing. You'd think teaching players to move the ball, to drive and kick to create space, and to never force ill-advised shots would be easy.. But only Pop has been able to coach those things consistently. Every player that comes in plays selfless. Truly amazing.

    yea mad respect to kobe. I think one of the main reasons pop wanted kobe to mentor him was to bring more fire out of him. Just being around Kobe will make people more competitive (unless youre dwight). You can clearly see that Kawhi is taking over control of this team. Spurs are honestly the model franchise in sports. The culture from the owner all the way down to the 15th man on the bench is is unreal.

    Saw on twitter Kawhi had a pull up that looked exactly like Kobe, that training's definitely showing already not just in his game, but his mind set too as KVP said above me.

    i saw a diff kawhi last night, this is probably why. I think that comment durant made of kawhi being a "system player" motivates kawhi everytime he goes up vs durant. Last night, he had something reminiscent of the mamba mentality. Dude went for the warriors throat every time down the court, and he was relentless defensively as well.

    Apparently Pop asked Kobe last season if he could mentor Kawhi, and he ended up training with him all summer. If he can play close to this level on offense GS might be in big trouble long term.
