May 26, 2015 Hi everybody. I'm not sure how many people on here know about this, but I was going through some old stuff I had, and found a few Eminem songs on 12' vinyls. One of which was "My Name Is". This just so happened to be the one I decided to play. About halfway through the song, however. It seemed a bit different. I pulled out my SSLP cd and compared the two. Sure enough, there was a difference. The version on the vinyl has the lyrics "My English teacher wanted to have sex in junior high, the only problem was, my English teacher was a guy." But on the cd it says "My English teacher wanted to flunk me in junior high, thanks a lot; next semester, I'll be 35." Also on the vinyl "Extra-terrestrial, killing pedestrians, raping lesbians while they're screaming, 'Let's just be friends!'" is changed to "Extra-terrestrial, running over pedestrians in a spaceship, while they're screaming at me, 'Let's just be friends!'" On the cd. Does the vinyl have an unreleased version of the song or something? Or is my cd edited slightly? If anyone wants me to make an mp3 of it let me know.
May 26, 2015 lol, I always knew I had this, but I never listened to it because I thought "How can this be different than the album version?" Thanks for the heads up!
May 26, 2015 Funny story actually. The man who's song they sampled was gay. Obviously he wasn't digging the lyrics and asked for them to be changed. Otherwise he wouldn't sign off on the sample.
