what? i agree with OP...i just dont agree with him singling out SXN80 when this is an internet problem...it happens literally everywhere...im ok with the second point...it gives OT a character so i dont care much...but i agree fully with his first point...while arguing with @Narsh , you might be able to get one post without him turning into a giant child...then its a series of posts filled with ""

i am thankful that when a big album is released, we have a better community discussing it than most forums ... we have ridiculous amount of amazing posters, they can be overshadowed during music downtimes...but look at any time huge music is out...forum is filled with great posts....the day the drake-meek drama happened was amazing...we do have the best community here

1a. How old were you when Aquemini was released and did you hear it when it first came out? What was your reaction? I was 12, and obviously I heard Rosa Parks. For a sixth grader mostly afraid of black music (and their usually scary/impenetrable imagery), I found it to be catchy but very foreign. Was not sure what to make of it.

2. Today, how does it hold up sonically? Does it still sound fresh?
Obviously a classic album. Not my favorite Outkast album, granted, but their fusion of funk and southern psychedelic hip-hop have a real timeless quality. We often reflect on how dated songs from the 90s sound -- nsync, etc. Outkast holds up alarmingly well.

3. What about content-wise? Does its theme or subject matter make it feel dated or is it timeless?
To an extent, the sound/Atlanta themes were distinguishing them from coastal hip hop... most of the songs still resonant to me.

4. What are the best and worst songs on Aquemini?
Da Art of Storytellin' parts 1 and 2. Nathaniel. the harmonica break on rosa parks
Liberation

5. What albums, if any, do you see it still influencing today?
Clearly Kendrick. Probably Open Mike Eagle

6. Will Aquemini still be part of the hip-hop zeitgeist 10 years from now?
Yes

I think the biggest mistake people are making with this album is expecting a hip hop album. It's much more than that.

If you go into Love Story expecting hip hop, you're going to be sorely disappointed.

Eminem: released 3 of the best hip hop albums of all time after that all the albums were mediocre at best. Today people even criticize his business moves that come off as money grab. The NFTs and a best of album in streaming era. He gets a lot of negative feedback from fans and critics and he gets a lot of passes from his fans and because he still sells good
