Pusha talking about Cole making him a beat for his album:

Darkest Before Dawn’s A-list production team — which features The-Dream, Q-Tip, Bauer and Hudson Mowhawk — also includes a rapper who’s more known for spitting than beat-making. Enter: J. Cole. “I don’t know if he gets enough recognition for his production,” Push said, adding that Jermaine doesn’t appear as an artist on their collab. “I’m a fan of it.”

Pusha’s such a fan, in fact, that he hunted Cole down for the track and didn’t do the whole “E-mail me the beat” thing. “Actually, he did it in front of me,” Pusha explained. “I was chasing him down. He was on tour, so we went on his bus and he knocked it out then and there. He understood totally. We connected about the vision for the track and he did his thing. Cole’s great.”

Personally, I know a lot of people here want solely outside production but I don't tbh. I want him to get a lot of outside producers (a little more than FHD) and co prod with them as well as produce a few tracks himself. The high points of Cole production have always been great to me.

So I'm just gonna say one thing cause I know no one cares.

But the only reason I'm on here is to talk to the JCN fam. I know ppl dont remember me as much cause I go Ghost, but I remember Vwhite and the Coon box. I remember Missy and everyone up in arms cause she was the only female around. Lockness and I met up in LA great guy.

Hasman always been real with me. Cruz and Bliss are OG Goats.

This is more then a website to me its like a make believe family haha.

I have a theory that the reason Cole doesn't drop certain things at times that would make sense is because IB lurks in the forum and whenever one of you guys nails a concept that they're planning on, IB goes to the Dreamville squad and says, "Dammit fellas they got us again. We need to come up with something even more crazy. Like Miss America as a single or a slave revolt video for GOMD." And that's why their moves are always left field, because they need to be 'unpredictable' or some s---.
