I'm quitting cigs right..like, I just gave them up yesterday. so I'm driving to work this morning an think, d--- what can I do now with myself, use both hands on the steering wheel? the s--- is that? so I remembered this dropped but wasn't sure how long it would be til it was on Spotify or I'd have to wait all day until I got home to listen to it.
anyways when I logged in to the app, its like a beacon of light shined on it, begging for my attention and well,
it has given me my nicotine fix for the year, cleared my skin, and put extra money in my bank acct.

Oh f---, Letter to my Son is beautiful. I can relate to this so much.

Everything. "I want to hug you but I want to bite you". I love my son with all my heart but sometimes I want to strangle him!

"Taught you enough to not use drugs". Leading by example and not being afraid to have tough conversations with him is the best way I know how to raise him. I'd rather he hear about the world from me before witnessing it himself with nothing to relate it to.

This song is heart wrenching.

Just think of the family he left behind who love him as a father. We'll never know the pain they are in. We hurt as fans, but that doesn't compare to their pain.

RIP X and I wish strength and resilience for your family.

1. Givenchy

I can't think of one example where anyone raps like Thug does on Givenchy. It's rapping worthy of Birdman's intro; rapping worthy of gold toilets and chandeliers and the superpower of never being hungover. The ethereal aura set by the first elongated note is carried fluidly into the restrained hook and then used as a seamless lead in for a verse about love. But it's all a front. What starts out as a moving ballad, an ode to eating her out Now & Later and putting your heart in her pocket, shifts suddenly halfway through: the love turns to lust, the touching transparency into defiance. Thug takes the heart that was on his sleeve and eats it in front of his fiancee.* He'd love to put something in her stomach, something right under her lungs, he knows they're twins -- but he's got too much on his mind. His tempered crooning gives way to violent tantrums, because drugs don't stop -- and you know he can't either. They're all watching him like a f---in' cable box, and he's the President -- blacker than Barrack. He's spent a thousand on a Flock, no Wak. He's been kicked out of college, he only bleeds red, and he's really thuggin like Bones n Harmony.

And once he bares his soul, he only has one question left for his girl: would you ride for your n-----?

It's a lot to take in, of course, but I'd like to imagine his girl went for his honest proposal.

This album is everything i hoped for. He really delivered everything on this album. I never realized how talented he really was. Hes a great f---ing singer and can rap his a--- off. Incredible. This is coming from someone who was never a huge fan of his. His last album was all over the place and had no vision. This is very different.

Final Thoughts:
"Mid Air" is a new and exciting follow-up from their previous release "BOY ANONYMOUS", which I enjoyed immensely at the time. This time around, the duo shows their versatility with high-quality production that combines powerful beats and reflective, melodic moments. Their energetic and engaging vocal style adds depth to the album, and the lyrics offer a raw and honest mix of personal thoughts and social commentary. Fans of genre-blending music and those looking for something outside the mainstream will find much to appreciate here. While it's certainly isn't perfect, it is however a significant addition to their discography and hints at even greater potential for the future.

Overall, it's a strong effort from Paris Texas that demonstrates their growth and willingness to take risks.
