    Cole's newly found "brand" is organic and original. I hope he continues to go the no singles/very little promotion route before a project. Three albums deep just like Hov and he's finding his place and position in terms of mainstream success and quality.

    @ThuggerSXN

    idk how i feel about this man Be El Be in his last periscope (which is still up for some reason) showed like 3 mins clip of thug finding out Troop died....it was last week when they were in Africa and be el be was already filming in the car for whatever interview they were doing (they were driving). and in the middle of it thug gets the news...and its so f---ing sad man smh idk why the dude showed it tbh

    thug just like goes into shock, asks when it happened, and even tries to call troop's cell (it goes to message). so f----- man. ive only ever lost like one person..someone like thug has probably lost dozens.

    On one of the songs they flip the "none of us would be here without c-m" line and cudi hums along with the "cummmmmm" and it's majestic

    i like this album because it feels like hov breaks himself down and humanizes himself while still assuming the role of the culture's all wise father figure.

    on songs like family feuds and the story of OJ he's like a zeus like figure in the clouds sharing his unfiltered thoughts on the culture with intention to steer it. so like listening to those tracks you respect him as such.

    but then on tracks like k--- jay z, 4:44, or even legacy, he breaks himself down and humanizes himself. either speaking personal, or admitting faults.

    album is excellent to me.

    I'm surprised at the mixed reactions to Rockin'. That s---'s the jam.

    This album managed to keep my attention a lot better than Beauty Behind the Madness. Probably helped that I avoided any and all leaks with this album whereas with BBTM I peeped Girls Born in the 90s and the other leaks which ruined my experience when I found out he changed GBIT90s to Acquainted as well as other songs.

    Like someone said earlier you can hear Daft Punk's fingerprints on a lot of these songs which is awesome.

    For some reason out of all of the albums I've listened to in my life, this record has been locked as my pick since the very beginning.

    Yeez's pick is none other than...
    [IMG]
    KINGS OF CRUNK by Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz.
    (Note: The streaming version of this album is missing 2 tracks ["The Weedman (Skit)" and "The Weedman"] . Not too big of a change, but worth mentioning)
    Aside from being a defining album of the crunk era, this record encompasses a lot of the greatest parts of early 2000's Southern Rap. Memorable adlibs, a good amount of rap and R&B cuts AND one of the earliest appearances of rap legend Pitbull. This record has been on repeat for me this entire summer (great gym music) and I hope y'all enjoy it!!!

    That Cube album would have been a classic if he trimmed it down to 15 or 16 tracks.
