"Classic" is just slang at this point. Just like GOAT, like when I say apparently is a goat song i dont really believe that its the single greatest song ever made, i just mean it's really good lol. Same thing with classic i feel like now people just say "oh man that album is classic" not really thinking of what classic actually is.
Reminds me of a louis ck skit talkin about how people just go over the top with their words nowadays. He says someone eating some chicken wont hesitate to say its AMAZING. And then he's like "what are you gonna say if god just comes down feom the sky and makes love to u all night and leaves the new living lord in your belly? You already used amazing on a basket of chicken wings!" lmao but it's true we kind of devalue words.


But i think a real classic also becomes a classic by the influence it has on everything that comes after it.cant call something a classic if it hasnt had time to even influence anything.
