I hope I don't catch s--- for asking this here, since I didn't know which section would have suited best.

I just bought a new PC after years of being restricted to my phone and iPad/Galaxy Tab. I'd like to know which programs are best to install, music-wise.

I already know I'm using iTunes as my default player and to hold my music library (plus the simple-to-use tag editor). But as far as I know, people aren't recommending the iTunes ripper for ripping CDs in 320 mp3 (and there's no FLAC option). I've already looked at EAC, but it doesn't seem to want to rip in mp3.

And as far as identifying true music quality (ex. checking if a song claiming to be 320 is ACTUALLY 320), any recommendation on that front? Thanks in advance :daps:

Foobar2000 is a very customizable music program. I never really got into it but its very easy [or complex, depending on how deep you want to get into it] to use. It plays FLAC too
