Lol. Honestly though after the recent trades the pens had, I don't think anyone can stop them in the playoffs this year. I just can't see them losing a series.

Going to be kind of upset when Walker leaves the Pirates because it looks like they're not going to re-sign him. Pirates definitely have the best outfield in the league this year.

Congrats, its been a thousand years since they won anything. They paid Lester A LOT of money for a guy who is 31 year old who has logged as many innings as he has and those contracts hardly ever hold up. He'll be elite these next 3 years and then start to fade.

I will miss him though, Sox could have had him for 5 years 120 million last spring but they f----- up royally

The Pirates are going to show what they're capable of after they embarrass Boston today.

Also, check for syringe marks on the Sox batters.

MLB is syncing all the first pitches on game 162
This year, MLB is attempting to make the final day of the season more dramatic. All 15 games will begin at 3:05 Eastern (12:05 PM Pacific). Not only will this force all teams still on the brink of the playoffs into must-win situations, it will also effectively stop teams on the edge of contention from resting starting pitchers to set up their rotation heading into the playoffs. Last year, Adam Wainwright was scheduled to start the Cardinals’ last game against the Diamondbacks. After the Pirates lost earlier in the day, St. Louis scratched Wainwright and started him against the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Syncing all of the times also has an effect on less important parts of the game like the batting and ERA titles. Jose Altuve went into Game 162 last season with a three point lead in the AL batting average race on Victor Martinez. Altuve could have sat and still finished with the league lead. Both men started, Altuve went 2/4, Martinez went 0/3, and Altuve added an exclamation point to his great year. Felix Hernandez also clinched the AL ERA title in the final game of the season, throwing 5 1/3 shutout innings to drop his ERA just ahead of that of Chicago’s Chris Sale.

So happy the Sox didnt give in to Philly for Hamels. Betts and Swihart will be beasts.

Mookie is 19 for 38 with 11 XBH's this spring.

Anyone else on here do fantasy baseball? I love my team this year. The more notable names I got are Paul Goldschmidt, Anthony Rendon, Hanley Ramirez, Carlos Gomez, and Cole Hamels.

We drafted last Sunday and today I got a trade offer, Carlos Gomez for Andrew McCutchen straight up. He took Cutch #3 overall while I took Gomez in the mid 2nd round. As long as the trade goes through I got 2 of the top 5 players in the game :whew:.

his reasoning behind the trade: Cutch cut his hair so he's going to magically start to s---.

Cutch is definitely going to look different with his hair cut. Still better than Betts and Swihart.

As a fellow owner of McCutchen I say you better accept that offer. Gomez is good but barring an injury you've got a steal there. I've been in a keeper league for 8 years now, and I've had McCutch since he was in the minors. He's arguably the second best fantasy player to own behind Trout right now, and I do not believe his haircut has a thing to do with it lol. I've got Rendon too. This injury right now has me concerned, but hopefully he only misses a few games and it isn't an issue the rest of the season.

It basically is, luckily I got a job that has a lot of down time during the summer so it isn't too bad. And a shot at winning $700 is pretty good motivation.

accepted the trade without hesitation, top 5 fantasy player for a guy I got mid-2nd round. Can't pass that up.

Also just traded Victor Martinez and Brandon Phillips for Ian Kinsler and Tyson Ross. Love this deal, got some insurance for Rendon, helped sure up my rotation, and gave myself a lot of flexibility. I didn't even want Victor Martinez, but he was still there in the 9th round so I picked him to use as trade bait. Feel like he's gonna fall off a lot this year.

As long as the owners aren't d----s and veto these trades my team is looking very nice to start the year.

@tm87 , I saw Buster Olney on sportscenter picked the Pirates over the Mariners in the world series. d---, can't even imagine how excited you'd be if they win it all. Think they have a legit shot?
