Aaron Nola only gives up 1 run and gets handed the loss.

    Welcome to the Phillies

I've said this like 5 times this year but the Sox are officially done. Can't even be sellers because thy don't even have any expiring players with value. Napoli isn't even MLB caliber any more, Victorino is old/fragile, Masterson throws mid 80's now. Only guys they can/might be willing to sell are Uehara or Holt(sell high, prefer they didn't though).

Still don't know how Holt was an all star over Bogaerts.

happy the mets picked up uribe and johnson, but that trade doesn't make any sense unless they add a player like tulo/frazier/bruce/parra/gomez/cespedes

Billy Burns of Oakland left the game tonight with a testicular contusion. Yes, that's what was officially announced by the team.

Cubs gotta make a deal or two to get over the hump. Cardinals are just so consistent. We'll catch em though :stephena:

I remember before the season when the Yankees/their fans wanted nothing to do with Arod.

Weird comparison considering zero Sox fans wanted Ortiz to retire and go away before this season.

he's a cheater so it's a pretty good comparison...Arods a piece of s--- and I don't respect him, but I want the Yankees to win so obviously no one's rooting for him to strikeout that's a Yankees fan. If Ortiz faced the same criticism for cheating that Arod did then fans would want him to retire and leave the game. While Arods a piece of s--- he's the scapegoat and guys like Ortiz and Braun can be celebrated by their fans for some weird reason.

Ya duh Yankee fans are rooting for him now. My point was y'all wanted nothing to do with him (and the 22 mill AAV or w/e he gets) as a baseball player, not as the cheater.

Also Yankees fans love to point fingers with the "he did it too" thing. Hey Arod was that kid in class who cheated right in the teachers face, those kids get caught 1000% of the time. I don't really give a f--- about who did steroids tbh because that was the best era in baseball. I don't think Yankees fans care about that either, it was more about A. Thinking he was washed and B. having to to pay him 64 mill over the next 3 years. He had fallen off significantly in 2012-13 and then missed all of 2014. Now he's magically back to his 08-09 self.

I just think it's funny how none of you wanted him back and acted like it was because of the whole steroids thing.

you realize if he retired he still would've gotten all of that money? lol. No one wanted him back because he was a cancer in the club house. Now he's pretending to be a normal human being and it's working and they're winning. Can't really complain about that
