Melissa Barrera said in an interview with The Independent that “there were times where I felt like my life was over” after she was fired from the “Scream” franchise one year ago due to social media posts about Palestine that Spyglass, the studio behind the horror franchise, deemed antisemitic. “It was quiet for, like, 10 months,” Barrera said while discussing how acting work more or less disappeared for her after she was fired. “I was still getting offers for small things here and there – I’m not going to lie and say there was nothing – but [the message] was, like, ‘Oh, she probably doesn’t have work, she’ll say yes to anything.’”

Nov 29, 2024 Suspiria (1977 OG) There aren't many (called) classic older horror movies I've never seen before. So when I do see one, its such a dissappointment if I don't like it. My biggest issue with it is that the concept/idea is so d--- good. But the execution is just... ehh. Like, okay, there's an old witch controlling the school. But how did it affect the students and why did the girl investigate it? The deaths are just strange and a lot of the times the music is so loud and annoying. Its just strange, but its not like a lot happens or its really creepy to me. Such a shame.... also got the 2018 version, maybe they did something better with it 40 years later. 5/10 and thats because the concept itself is dope. Also never gave Smile 2 a rating jusr my thoughts. 9/10 I'm having a small obsession with it lmao
