Yeah the whole ending was gonna be a tie in, I think the plot to Halloween 3 is pretty stupid but it was funny.

I think it was too 'big' as in, going from a serial killer to a company that wanted to k--- millions of children.

However I did wish that original idea would still happen: every year a new halloween themed movie. Like, I'm used to getting a new halloween movie the past year sooo pls

Recommend watching Cabinet Of Curiosities on Netflix that just dropped by Del Toro. Anthology horror at its best. Look forward to seeing the rest in the next few days.

I know he did a skit on one of the vhs movies, one that I actually thought was okay, I'll have to check it out smile was great, bout to watch don't worry darling cuz my girls wants to check it out, I've also got terrifier 2 and crimes of the future downloaded ready to watch.
That new vhs was dumb as f---, I watched spirit halloween with my girl which was unbearable... I can't recall what others I recently watched, ends obviously but I tossed my 2 cents into the wishing well about that already....
After smile I rewatched malignant because I feel like that's the best story for a horror film I've seen before smile, that's a good one

Before Halloweenweekend, a quick update from the last few days:

    The Omen

Even though the story and the idea itself is creepy as f---, watching this it felt more like a thriller/drama with horror elements. That said, great movie! To me this is another example of a movie I've seen once and its fine, but its a movie that, similar to the Exorcist, inspired a lot of 'evil child' movies. 7/10

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the OG ofcourse)

Yeah. I dunno. I like the whole texas vibe here. But that dude in the wheelchair was annoying as f---, jezus what a whiny little b---- (not because of his condition obviously). There is no real character development so when they are, kinda randomly, killed I didn't really care. The lead actress was an exception. But the last part where they were just screaming for like 10 minutes straight and that whole 'dinner' scene... just wasn't for me. Its a fine movie, and I do like the story and the whole setting. But this is not something I would want to watch every year. 6.5/10

    Night of The Living Dead

"They're coming for you Barbara".. I was like where do I know that from? Then I remembered it was what Lindsey Wallace and Tommy Doyle were watching in Halloween 1. This was promoted as a very low budget movie and that clearly shows lol. Despite that, it was really well done. I like the story, pretty good characters and some legit creepy moments. 7.5/10

Okay... now... I said, I watched the greatest horror sequel on monday. Its not the 2nd movie in a franchise, but the 7th. Usually, and also in this one, most of the sequels are very hit or miss and the more, the worse they get.
Here the 7th movie isn't exactly a sequel to the main story, but a completely new story with the same actors. I am talking about the masterpiece... New Nightmare. It's the cast from the original movie, including Wes Craven himself, having to deal with an ancient being that haunts their dreams: a 'real life' Freddy. Robert does an amazing job both playing himself and Freddy. Also, in the later films Freddy became a clown more than a scary killer; in this movie he is as scary as he can be. The cast does a terrific job and the story is really, really well done. Unique and executed perfectly. Anyone that thinks 'd--- a 7th movie that can't be good' can easily ignore 4,5,6 and even 2... but this is a a gem, to me even better than the original (even though it can't really happen without it). 9.5/10

    @BIGFOOT u gonna be happy here ^

Can I go into this movie without having seen any of the previous films (Even the first one)?

You can pretty much ignore all the sequels, but the first one is essential to understand the story.

The meta horror movies are usually always fun, I enjoyed New Nightmare but my main complaint is the make-up. Just feels like they got it right the first time and whenever they tried to change it ended up making it look worse lol, the trenchcoat was cool tho.

Shiet alright. Will give it a shot.

Old horror movies and sci-fis are sometimes hard to watch because of how badly they've aged.

Cabinet Of Curiosities is amazing. Loved most of the episodes and has a true H.P Lovecraft feel to a lot of them. Really got me in the mood for Halloween with how they releasing the episodes and tone of the series.
