Oct 15, 2021 Some what spoiler review/rant Yeah this movie s----d a---, with such an EPIC trailer you'd think you could do no wrong until you watch the movie and realize the reason it was so epic was because its literally everything that's good about the movie. Crazy that the firefighter massacre was completely shown in the trailer...this movie was bad as soon as that opening scene ended I knew we were in for a piss poor movie. Lold at the try hard loomis impression right off the bat too. I know everyone hates the rob zombie Halloween movies besides me but I feel like since those films McBride and team are trying to make their own version of brutal rob zombie michael. The thing is michael was never about gorey innovated deaths everyone talking about how brutal this new michael is but rob zombies michael was brutal in a michael way dude walked into your house and absolutely slaughtered people with a knife you felt that dudes strength and anger. This michael is up there with Jason he's just got "innovated kills" ending was f---ing horrible. Movie was built off mob going after michael and the mob spent most of the movie going after the wrong guy lmfao and when they finally confront michael he kills them in the most cop out way possible barely see anything. I know this little rant is everywhere but I'm tired as s--- sorry about that. I'm hoping this movie may s--- a--- right now but serves as a nice bridge to the last one and the set of 4 serves as a great binge because right now as is this movie wasn't needed or it should've had the final ending because I doubt whatever story they tell with the next one is worthy of another film just to see michael die and the series get brought back to life another few years down the road.
Oct 15, 2021 Halloween 2018 and kills were filmed back to back and it kind of shows. Kills seriously lacks so much it seems like they wanted to hold off and see the response to 2018 which is fine but why the f--- would you film them back to back then? I had alot of faith in McBride because he seems very in touch but yeah two movies in so far and I'm sitting here like where's rob zombie f--- this lol.
Oct 16, 2021 Halloween Kills - 8/10 loved the ending… gave me Freddy Kruger vibes with the town coming together to take out Myers. Yeah the very ending is a bit stupid but isn’t that the same with most Halloween films? A mortal man survives gun shots, stakes through the heart whatever happens, he’ll survive. So the movie itself is dumb! The whole franchise is, but Halloween Kills is still pretty good.

Oct 16, 2021 I'm pretty sure this set of films will end though with the next film, Jamie lee Curtis said the movie will end with a twist so who knows. You're right though these films have never actually had an ending BUT I think that's only because before it reaches the last chapter the studio puts a stop the series dies and then gets revived with a new story. I believe they want to end this universe of Michael but of course give it a few years and there will be a new Michael myers universe.

Oct 16, 2021 d---. That makes me sad. I was looking forward to this especially after how much I liked the last one. That one had some really good, genuine tension in some parts, and surprisingly good cinematography for a horror film, at least in my opinion. I'm hoping they just put all their eggs into this next one; IIRC they filmed these back to back, so it's possible they edited this down to be a setup for a big splurge with the next movie, rather than a fully fledged, fleshed out film. Who knows. I'm guessing it just sucks and nothing I mentioned has anything to do with it lmao. Still gonna watch.

I thought they were going to do some crazy s--- like have Michael talk or more realistically take off his mask and look at himself or something but now I realize it goes into the building up of Michael wanting to be home/always in his sisters room considering this is the room he killed his sister in @BIGFOOT @M Solo Spoiler
Oct 16, 2021 I feel that's where a lot they f----- up with Michael the other one felt like Michael myers in an average film. Him stalking hiding in the shadows where this one was break in k--- break in k--- k--- k--- k--- k--- etc etc nothing else and now he has these over the top unmichael kills to add to it.
Oct 16, 2021 In the end though the fans of these og horror icons who have been here since they were kids should be used to this. Then ruining Michael and giving us another lame movie isn't something we're not used to it's lame but been here before. I highly doubt the next one will make these last 2 films amazing in my eyes but the movie hasn't really started filming yet and it seems most people don't like this movie (surprised to see my man Bigfoot likes it) so maybe this is a good thing overwhelming negative response could put them on the right track. Isn't it weird that the first film in these movies are always untouched and unmatched and can never make anything up to that level again?
Oct 16, 2021 I thought it was ok, but also pretty forgettable. I enjoyed some parts and finished it, so that makes it better than 3 and 6 for me, but I enjoyed the last one way more than this.
