@Marsh
Watched Speak No Evil yesterday finally.
f---ing sick lmao
It's not scary in the traditional way but that couple was creepy and annoying from the start. Obvious that something was wrong.
That tension they kept for the whole movie making the viewer think 'GET THE f--- OUT OF THERE' the whole time.

Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare
OVERALL RATING: 2/10!!!!!!!
Buckle up ladies and gentlemen (who am I kidding, it’s just men here, all the women left the forum) and grab your popcorn because Ripper Roo is about to go on yet another:
ABSOLUTE, UNMITIGATED, LEGENDARY RANT!!!!!!!!!!
@Minato you said you liked my rants so you might wanna read this. This movie sent me into a downward spiral of irritation, frustration, and rage!!! The film somehow got worse as it went on!!! What a f---ing joke!!! Seriously, this movie is a complete parody of the franchise!! Suspension of disbelief is IMPOSSIBLE. Nearly everything that made the first few movies good is gone.
Freddy has went from a mysterious, creepy threat to borderline comic relief. In this movie he is a weird, unfunny, idiotic loser!! His makeup looks like s--- in this movie and the special effects are TERRIBLE! The plot is nonsensical and Maggie being his daughter is contrived bs! Not to mention there’s so many times in this movie where it feels like a rehash of the past movies. Even the ending of pulling Freddy into the real world is a rehash of the first movie. Why did he fall for this trick a second time? What a dumbass!!!
Most of these new characters are unlikable, forgettable, boring stereotypes. I don’t give a s--- about any of these characters dying. The only good part of the movie is the video game section. I removed a point for the Power Glove mention though. The intro of the movie is so stupid with the dude endlessly rolling down a hill while it’s super clear the stuntman is forcing himself to roll down the hill. The ending of the movie sucks and further cements Freddy as a f---ing CLOWN! What a dumb final line from him! How ironic that a clown showed up earlier in the movie!
Going into Freddy’s memories could’ve been cool if it wasn’t for that weird “daddy” s---. The “dream people” angle is so stupid, they look laughable. The only redeemable part about this movie is that Maggie’s actress was kinda hot.
At this point I’m so angry that I’ve lost my train of thought and can’t remember if there was anything else I wanted to say about this movie. If there wasn’t only 2 movies left I’d be absolutely done with this franchise. Here’s a big f--- YOU to everybody that made this s-----y movie. EAT MY d-ck!!!!Minato, DiggleDogg69 and Michael Myers like this. -

Just finished Chucky season 1.
Got mixed feelings tbh.
It started out really cool, and I liked the 'new' characters (Jake/Lexy). Chucky trying to turn people into killers was fun.
Then it was also great to see the movie storyline being picked up with Tiffany, Nica and Andy returning. And the throwback stuff leading up to the first movie was nice as well.
But the whole army of chucky's just didn't do it for me. And Nica being possessed and later herself again. Nice acting from Fiona Dourif but kinda lame. Her ending (this season) also stupid lol.
It was fun mostly, but not sure if this will get any better with an army and all the different chucky's. 6.7/10DiggleDogg69, Marsh and Ripper Roo like this. -

Halloween Ends
After the succes of Halloween, John Carpenter was kinda forced to make a sequel. 40 years later, and David Gordon Green had the same 'problem'. Halloween was such a succes, fans wanted more.
Instead of one, he announced 2 sequels at once. But what to do with them? One movie of Michael going crazy again on Haddonfield, and bringing back some old characters and the town people was one thing, but 2 movies of that? Just like after Halloween 4 and 5, they felt the need to try something else. Something different. And I understand all that. But to call the movie 'Halloween Ends' and start an entire new story? Just like MMLP2 the biggest mistake here is the name and giving people false hope and expectations with the misleading promition. Yes we did get a final showdown of Michael and Laurie, but it an 1 hour and a half to get there.
There are so many strange things about this movie: Michael has to k--- to be strong? Didn't the guy spend like 40 years at Smiths Grove without killing? Dude living in the sewers was kinda cool and realistic, but after seeing him go superhuman in Kills it was just wrong to see Corey beat him up and steal his mask. Other than that I didn't have much trouble with it because when he was there, he was brutal. And when he wasn't there, you felt his presence, from the minute the movie started. I'll say again, they should have introduced Corey earlier, or mayne let his story be a new timeline. My biggest issue is that most of the movie lost the Halloween atmosphere, aside from the amazing score. But when it picks up, it's awesome. The junkyard kills, Willy the Kid, dr. Mathis and Deb, officer Mulaney, loved those scenes! And the opening was awesome, everyone was expecting Michael lol. Lindsey should have been more than a side character, but even if the love story wasn't that great, I respect them trying something else. And lets be honest, the ending with everyone -well.. except Lindsey smh- was dope as f---. I still don't get that whole Laurie suicide s---, how did she know Corey was gonna show up? And did Corey really want to k--- Laurie or did he just want to lure Michael there?
It's flawed, and again less entertaining than the previous one, but it's fine to me. Was this needed? Nah, just add the last 20 minutes to Kills and we good. Also would have made more sense it being revenge for Karen. I can go on more about things I like and didn't but I think most has been said the past few weeks. Again, it's fine. 6.5/10DiggleDogg69, Marsh and Ripper Roo like this. -

Halloween II
The movie JC was forced to make after the succes of the first one. I think its funny people are trashing Kills and Ends, but this one seems to be getting so much praise. And yes, there are definitely some great things.
The Halloween theme, imo, is the best from all movies. Its so haunting. Michael is still creeping, the ending is great. But people were mad that Laurie got sidelined in Kills... well, here she is too until the last 15 minutes or so.
I like the first half hour when Michael is walking the streets of Haddonfield, and some of the kills and creeps were very dope.
But..... I don't like or care about the s--- at the hospital at all lol. For what it is, its still a good movie but 'the only movie close to the original' h--- no. The Halloween element isn't that much present either. Its okay, and like I said the score is amazing, but I even think Kills is a lot more enjoyable than this. The only real 'story' here is the twist that Laurie is Michaels sister, other than that it's just a sequel because he had to. Halloween 4, 2018, Kills are all more enjoyable to me. But Michael is great as well so I sure put it above the other half of the franchise. If it wasn't for the score though probably a little lower. 6.7/10Ripper Roo, DiggleDogg69 and jankland like this. -

Halloween Kills
There is so much I like about this movie, but I can't deny this is a step down from H2018.
Most importantly: the useless characters. I'm always a sucker for nostalgia and bringing people back, but only if they are of some use. Like bringing Marion back for H20 because Michael needed to steal her files on Laurie.
But here... out of nowhere she screamed 'evil dies tonight', and then she got killed later on. So corny. Same w Bracket, he was back to say his line from the first movie and add to the fa---- a--- motivational speech bs followed by again... evil dies tonight. The only return that was actually fantastic was Kyle Richards Lindsey. No corny one-liners and no fake attitude. She was legit scared as h---, yet had the courage to face Michael. Glad she survived!
But the elefant in the room; Tommy f---ing Doyle. From a scared little s--- to Haddonfields big fighter? You got to be kidding me lmao. Michael killed police officers, 12 fire fighters and other people after being shot and stabbed. But Tommy Doyle and his little bat are gonna k--- him. Thats what he thought and even worse, what other people thought as well standing behind him. Awful character, thats one thing Halloween 6 (Paul Rudd) did way better. And he eventually killed Michael, on his own!
And then the mob... they beat him down. How about take apart his body?? Take of his head?? They just shot him 4 times so they knew a few hits with a bat weren't enough. Lonnie Elam also had a hero complex, thinking after all that happened he was gonna, and I quote, 'confront Michael for his deeds'
People in horror movies are usually stupid but this is another level. Okay, now the good things.
A little thing, since Laurie wasn't his sister in this timeline, I like that Hawkins cleared up Laurie's huge ego. She kept saying it was all about her, Frank told her it was not. He never cared for Laurie, she just visited his house in H1 so he stalked her... it was Sartain that was obsessed w Laurie.
But okay back to the start: I love how they made the flashback scene. They recreated the whole 1978 vibe perfectly. Visually, but also using the original score. The little details (like Lonnies clothes, the rope Michael stole in the original, the dog in the Myers house), how Michael moved/walked, the police cars. Also one thing nobody seemed to have noticed is that the kids picking on Lonnie, one said 'you don't f--- with the mullany's'. In Ends, the police officer Alyson dated said the same to Corey. So that was probably his dad.
The whole opening was just cool. Also the score was perfect for the whole movie!
When he killed the firefighters, Laurie's neighbors, cool scenes. The gay couple vs the trick or treat kids, loved it. 'He stabbed her in the t-ts' lmao.
Aside from the whole corny evil dies tonight s---, I did like the hospital scene. Tommy made people go crazy with his s---, being Lauries little attack dog (again, lol). But the way people chased him like sheep even if Bracket and Laurie both said it wasn't him, was crazy but well done. Felt sorry for the dude though. Then the park scene, w Lindsey and the kids was great. Murders of the couple and Marion were cool too. But I forgot one thing w the bad list... Marion said this is for dr. Loomis?? Did the writers forget that in this timeline Loomis was fine and died of old age here? He survived every timelime btw except 6. But aside from the scene being cool, all 3 were so f---ing stupid. Except Lindsey.
The mob scene itself was kinda cool imo aside from the stupidity of course, especially when Michael got up and killed them all.
Karen and Alyson were great in this movie, but it was weird that somehow they were fine w losing Cameron and Lonnie. Karen baiting Michael was cool. But why did she walk upstairs? And how did people see her go upstairs but somehow Michael managed to get there unnoticed?
Karens k--- was brutal, but it was meant to be a cliffhanger, w Laurie calling her. The next movie Laurie was about to go after Michael. That ending is also on the dvd as a special. But somehow they changed it and added a 4 year time jump, which made the impact of Karens death a lot less... and it didn't make much sense either because Laurie spent her whole life preparing. And now he killed her daughter and she's gonna move on?
Strange.
I realized this review has become so long but it shows, there's a lot of stuff that made me roll my eyes (dumb s---) but I enjoyed most of it still.
