    The beginning part of this article is a bit of a stretch but it gets more factual as it goes down.

    The long and short of it is that it's a big horror movie in the parts of the gay community who's into horror, reason being is that the writer made it an allegory for being in the closet.

    I also watched that last week — I liked it a lot but I felt like

    the supernatural aspect was treated...almost inconsequentially? I don't mean in terms of direct plot cuz obviously the movie hinges on the phone and the dreams, but the explanation was sorta like "oh btw the mom had powers too." Maybe I missed something but why can the Grabber hear the phone ringing (and the ghosts talking to him through it at the end) if the implication is that the two kids have supernatural powers because it was passed onto them from their mom? Just felt like that coulda been explored a bit more since it's so important to the plot.

    why'd they have to k--- Robin tho RIP to a real one

    Been reading the reviews. I’ve lost most of my interest tbh.

    Said a month or two ago that the studio had no faith in it, which is evidently turning out to be for good reason. Never a good sign when they go day-to-date. Oh well.

    We’ll obviously get more Michael Meyers down the line, just not for a long time, I imagine. 2018 was so good, I thought this trilogy was gonna be dope.

    I’m still going to see it because it’s f---in spooky season and I love this time of year!

    Watched 2.5 again yesterday

    Terrifier

    Bought this dvd last year. Kinda forgot to watch it so was pretty excited: a killer clown creeping and killing on Halloween night. As a Halloween fan, my expectations were high.
    The first 10 minutes or so were promising... but then... everything happened in one abandoned building, and it was just.. gross. Not scary, just gross. Turned it off after an hour. If you like disgusting s--- like SAW or Hostel, this might be for you. But for me, keep. 3/10

    Freddy vs Jason

    Its a gem. I mean, its a lot more comedy than it is actually scary, but the way they brought the 2 legends together and combined the Elmst universe with Crystal Lake. Brilliant. I've seen this like 20 times already and it never gets old for me. Sure, if you are being fair it has a lot of flaws too but for me its easily a 8/10

    Scream 4

    As I said, Scream 3 wasn't all bad but this is a great return to form. Love how they included the digital era in the movie. And the meta, self aware stuff. I do however think its weird they completely ignore the 3rd movie. No mention of Roman at all. Same w 5 btw. Its like they completely forgot lol. But yeah, great movie. 7.5/10

    One of my all time favorite horror movies is Cabin Fever. It’s a classic to me because it has its funny moments, creepy moments, lots of blood and some boobs. Great flick.

    Honestly, FvsJ is top 15 for me. Absolutely love that movie lol and they connected it very well!

    Great list good to see it follows and H2018 as HM.

    OG was exactly the same w some different details. As a standalone the new one was fine but to think they just re-filmed the (almost) exact same script lol

    I like: The first two conjuring movies, Halloween, Annabelle Creation, Hereditary, The Witch, Get Out, IT 2017, Midsommar and Scream. Some people also count Alien as one so Alien also.

    HM: Malignant, except for some funny scenes :') , The Others, A Quiet Place, Last Night In Soho.
