Nov 27, 2017 Yeah the H20 commentary and making of were brand new for the collection on bluray so they’re fairly recent. Yes, Resurrection was never supposed to happen and they found out there was gonna be a sequel to H20 at the last minute. Jamie even said that it doesn’t affect the ending of H20 for her because she said they made absolute sure that Laurie Strode and the audience would believe that it was Michael under the mask. They didn’t give a s--- about Resurrection from the beginning and knew no explanation would be believable anyway and that everyone would consider H20 the official end of the franchise. Luckily the last minute decision didn’t affect anything about H20 and they were still able to film the ending they wanted. Which is good because to this day it feels like a very “f--- Hollywood” type ending because it didn’t end on a cheap cliffhanger. It was very clear and straight forward. Also John Carpenter was supposed to be heavily involved with H20 but backed out. Not sure if that’s common knowledge or not. I’m starting to wonder if Resurrection happening is part of the reason the next Halloween is happening. I think they really want the series to go out on a high note. I don’t think it will be the last Halloween film ever but it will be the final of the original series.
Nov 27, 2017 d---. And yes I hope the next one is gonna be great but that also means michael cant die in that one either? Hoping for something that both respects H20 ending (it will since it ignores it) and washes away h6, rob zombies h2 and god awfull ressurection.
Nov 27, 2017 Speaking of Resurrection the mask is probably my least favorite. It looked he had jowls or something and it had a kind of “I’m not amused” expression. Although that worked in its favor on the part where Busta Rhymes was screaming at Michael through the mask lmao. In regards to Michael being allowed to die or not, I’m sure that’s no longer a rule anymore. I’m not exactly sure how I want it to end. I’m kind of just trusting the filmmakers. If John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis are cool with the script then I’m sure we will be too. Just gotta be really patient. It’s so far away. Don’t know if anyone mentioned it but filming for the new film was delayed from Oct. 2017 to Jan. 2018. Reason cited was the casting wasn’t complete. I don’t think there’s any reason to worry. The release date is said to still be the same.
Nov 27, 2017 This basically makes and kills the movie. Intro soo amazing (esp musically) and then its ruined by that terrible "mix up". Also after jamie lee part its just a haunted hause movie with dumb teenagers (like, a LOT more idiotic than the ones in 4,5,6 and H20. Totally out of place this movie ugh And yeah i'm with you I really hope its gonna match my (high) expectations.
Nov 27, 2017 Yeah I’m trying to keep my expectations neutral and just go in with a clear mind. And yeah I can’t say enough about how much I loathe Resurrection. Even with some of the other bad Halloween sequels I can name at least one redeeming quality. Resurrection has none.
Dec 1, 2017 So anyone have an opinion on Danielle Harris not being a part of the new Halloween? I think it would’ve been cool to see JLC and DH together in the same movie. Kind of a missed opportunity imo. She said recently that she’s pretty upset that she doesn’t get to be in it. And that she only met John Carpenter once and he had no clue who she was and she’s never met JLC.

Dec 2, 2017 They would more than likely have her play a different character. She could still play Laurie’s daughter, maybe just have a different name. But yeah I can see them avoiding casting her to not confuse fans. Judy Greer is cool too though. Not too upset about the casting choice.
