Sep 6, 2022 The one at the top is the original. The following are re-issues in which they've made it louder and louder, catering for today's standards. Which SUCKS. Today's music is extremely compressed, over-tuned and overly mastered. Loses all its dynamics. Check this out:
Sep 6, 2022 I haven't got proof of Thriller but I'd be willing to bet it happens with every single album from Off The Wall to Invincible.
Sep 7, 2022 I actually did a similar thread on MJJC in March regarding the Bad re issues. Nice to see confirmations on my findings. I’ll take that track list with a grain of salt, though.
Sep 7, 2022 I used to browse that website A LOT between 2014 and 2016. Thank god I found hip-hop though/started listening to artists after that. I spent way too much time researching everything about MJ back then.
Sep 7, 2022 Invincible is lowkey the worst of them. I remember how Heartbreaker and Whatever Happens clipped at certain points. And I'm sure someone on MJJC said that atleast the vinyl sounds better. The whole thing might not be that noticeable to the average listener though.
Sep 7, 2022 You should’ve seen the new public appearances threads before 2009. When he did the curls for This Is It you’d get your feet wet from all the fangirling
Sep 7, 2022 Yeah most MJ forums have been very quiet for a while. Twitter, Reddit and Discord kind of took the spotlight away from them. The most active forum I've seen is primarily a Black Women forum (there are men as well, of course) that's about celebrities gossip: https://www.lipstickalley.com/forums/the-michael-jackson-forum.227/ It gets kind of unbearable at times because it's mostly women bitching but there are some good threads and lots of information.
Sep 16, 2022 https://www.michaeljackson.com/news/michael-jackson-thriller-40-shes-trouble/ First 2 unreleased tracks in, Behind The Mask and Trouble. They will do a corny 40 logo from the track names lmao wtf. Shady Records is calling for your 2000s paint design patterns.
Sep 16, 2022 I was watching a great interview to Greg Phillinganes yesterday, from 2021, in which he talked about Behind The Mask I love that song ever since it came out on the Michael album. But getting the og demo will be even better. MJ's vocals in that era were just out of this world.
Sep 16, 2022 It seems the song from next week is The Toy (Best Of Joy) demo. Image is already uploaded on the server. I change the url of the image at the and from 220915 to 220922 https://cdn.smehost.net/michaeljack...tent/uploads/2022/09/220922_mj_thriller40.jpg This is the Url the She's Trouble: https://cdn.smehost.net/michaeljack...tent/uploads/2022/09/220915_mj_thriller40.jpg
Sep 16, 2022 Nah, I think Best of Joy was written by Rod Temperton some time before MJ passed away. Fun fact: There was actually a third verse but it was cut because Rod bitched about the publishing or so.
Sep 16, 2022 Yeah I don't think The Toy is Best Of Joy. And also true, a lot of people who worked with MJ started suing or threatening about different rights to his music after his passing. I think even Paul Anka was salty and said somethings about the "This Is It" song they released along with the movie.
Sep 16, 2022 People were speculating that The Toy is Best Of Joy demo. With a 3rd verse that wasn’t approved for the Michael album. And some different lyrics (allegedly “I am the toy, I am your boy”)
Sep 16, 2022 Anyway if it turns out to be a complete new track I'll be happy. It's been a while since we got new MJ content.
