The industry critics are gunning for superhero’s to die out, but it’s not happening so they come with the same old “oh another marvel movie” “it’s mid” but when you see the audience reactions they enjoy it. Like most are saying it’s deserving of a 7/10 at worst. Not groundbreaking or Amazing but pretty good. This is why it’s split down the middle reviews. Some people want old marvel, some want them to evolve to something unlike Comicbook movies. Too many hooks in them like swae lee

Feb 13, 2025 Yeah it’s called the pandemic and them trying to address the critics about “The Marvel Formula” once they tried that with Eternals people wanted them to go back and be reductive. But it was too late cuz the pandemic and writers strike affected the industry. Wandavision was one of their most successful projects and it was the first thing after endgame along with Spiderman FFH and No way home. Shang chi was also good but was in the middle of the pandemic with Black widow. And they both would have done double what they did if every theater in the world wasn’t closed
Feb 13, 2025 Also you can’t seriously look me in the face and say Thor 2 was good and it’s certified fresh by reviewers. Like I said there has never been a Cinematic Universe as successful or long running as Marvel other than Star Wars. And that’s a prime example. Fans adore the original trilogy but everything after is poorly reviewed and received by fans or critics, cuz that just what happens when you last over decades of storytelling and characters. Diffrent directors and creative teams on every movie. Phase 3 was the peak, but phase 1 & 2 had misses and the same problems, it just wasn’t as big cuz Marvel wasn’t the number 1 thing ever yet.

Feb 13, 2025 Just saw it. As expected it’s a 7/10 for me. The Hulk fight delivers! Also Sam proves he is a great captain America. I wish thier was more world building, especially since an Avengers movie is a year away. Missed opportunities. But as far as a continuation of Falcon & Winter soldier it’s good. Entertaining but yeah the leader villan was whatever
Feb 13, 2025 Like I’m tired of marvel tip-toeing around the assembly of the avengers. Like bruh, just do it already. Teasing s---, we already know it’s a multiverse. That’s the most annoying part of this past phase. but anyways, I’m glad marvel stepped up thier action. The clouds in the dog-fight were distracting, even on IMAX. But the action is good throughout the whole film. They could have cut the leader, his acting was just annoying. If they touched up the exposition, and had Red hulk earlier in the film I’d probably say it’s a 7.5. Still good and definitely worth a cinema ticket.
Feb 13, 2025 Also forgot to say, the acting is amazing! Mackie, Fors and the Bradley Characters really elevated the emotional masculinity scenes. I understand why Disney didn’t go harder politically considering the state America is In. But it would have been deeper if they went a step further

Feb 13, 2025 Pretty mid for me, you can tell the script was a bit cobbled together. They definitely had to reshoot stuff to make it slightly less political, especially with little miss IDF in the movie. The Isaiah Bradley bits were the best parts, I liked Harrison Ford. While perfectly serviceable the main conflict wasn't too interesting to me, could potentially be from me not being as invested in the franchise as a whole anymore. 5.5-6/10
Feb 14, 2025 I will say I'm not mad I saw it though! I had a good time and it landed about where I expected it to. I think the fact that this is how it came out considering all the reshoots and the s--- show behind the scenes that it's a miracle
