    so I kept 5 (!!) songs off the tape after listening to it real quick, it's definitely better than the heist... Downtown, Buckshot, Dance off, Let's eat and Bolo Tie. Dance Off is catchy

    I never thought of it. Could you develop this?


    Edit: relistened to Downtown, that hook is awful, deleted the track

    i think it's pretty evident. the way he enunciates words at the end of bars, the cadences he uses. the only thing he does that slug doesn't do (as much) is the huge BIG PONTIFICATING thing where his voice gets LOUDER IN THE MIDDLE of bars then cools back off. but other than that, carbon copy.

    Liked a few songs off The Heist. Not expecting much out of this tho. Downtown really grew on me as I heard it more and more on the radio, which is weird because the exact opposite happened to me with his singles from The Heist.

    Give it a listen. Ryan Lewis is worth it. There are some great songs and some really bad ones.

    Pretty forgettable album. Most of these new tracks are carbon copies of songs from The Heist era.
