Mar 15, 2024 Also sometimes the production feels like Splice Samples. His voice sounds great, but maybe too clean.
Mar 15, 2024 This s---'s even sexier on the 2nd listen, d--- gotta agree about f---ing up the disco, it came and went on the first listen but it's a b-----r
Mar 15, 2024 Oh yeah this is hitting on 2nd listen. I think play is the only true bad song. Technicolor is his best song in over a decade. F up the disco an no angels are my favorite. Liar should be pushed as a single or at least on tiktok.
Mar 15, 2024 How I would rank JT albums: 1. Future Sex Love sounds… don’t think it’s possible to ever top this. It was such a moment in pop culture and ever single was a smash.. at least it was to teen me. But seriously Sexyback, What goes around, My Love, Summer Love, Think she knows, ect. It’s legit one of the best pop records of the 21st century. 2. 20/20 Pt. 1. Kinda obvious choice but it’s true. Mirrors being one of his best radio singles ever. From the ballads to midtempo to dance bops. It’s an essential 2010’s album. The transitions and beat changes are some of his best; Let the groove get in, Tunnel Vision, Strawberry Bubblegum!! A classic 3. Justified. Senorita and like I love you is like the dopest opening songs ever. Oh No and Rock your body are straight 2000’s club bangers and of course his first major hit cry me a river. I mean that song still get sampled by rappers and pop acts today. And the MV was iconic. Still holds up today 4. 20/20 part 2. I know this is a kinda mixed album, but the diversity on this is special. This dropped when I was in college and trying to start making music and I was inspired by how varied it was with different genres and production. Not a bad thing, Murder , and amnesia still hit. The album is good when you’re in the mood for some wild random switches and genre changes but I don’t think it’s as bad as fans think. It’s definitely experimental, even for Timbland. 5. Everything I thought it was. Since it’s only been a day I can’t say much other then it’s better experience then Man of the woods. So far it’s a good blend of classic justin with what’s kinda popular in music nowadays. The disco songs hit hard in my AirPods, like F up the disco, No angels and My favorite drug. Paradise is also one of my faves, cuz I’m a Nsync fan since I was 7. Infinity sex and liar suprise me cuz they sound like Dua Lipa songs. But I think they will blow up if marketed right. Technicolor and Imagination also give me classic r&B JT. So far it’s good, just feels like some of the production is artificial and the lyricism is horrible but that’s always been a thing with Justin’s songs. Lmfao 6. and finally Man of the Woods. JT is my favorite male artist probably ever, behind Eminem. And wow, I remember waiting for this album and it was just meh. The whole country gimmick made no sense to me considering he dropped this in the middle of Trap music blowing up bigger then ever before. I know he is from the Midwest, but it’s just not good. Montana and breeze off the pond are the only songs I go back to. Say something was a decent single, but I would have preferred that midnight summer jam song if only it was remixed better by Timbland. Pharrell production on this album felt lazy and not as energetic or fun as usual. And once again the lyrics were tragic. Supplies was ok, but it’s really the bridge that made the song. No other standout hits. Filthy flopped and wasn’t anywhere close to being as good as Sexyback overall, he still has a great discography and I’m kinda glad he going back in his r&B dance pop bag.
Mar 16, 2024 Mannn, a surprise Ginuwine collaboration would have blown minds. And revived the career of a legend. S/O The D.M.V.'s own Elgin Baylor Lumpkin A.K.A. "The Same Ol' G".
Mar 16, 2024 Omg this rodentulare mutant with the excessively flamboyant vocabulary and nomenclature is still here! I wonder how long before he blocks me again
Mar 18, 2024 There are some great songs on here but how the f--- can he pull off songs like Flames 25 years deep in his career? JT a GOAT
Mar 22, 2024 Did he really need or even necessarily earn that like though? Was that even a well-crafted post? What is your basis of criteria on handing out likes to posts that are objective contrivances, my man? @Ordinary Joel
Mar 24, 2024 This album is kinda meh tbh like maybe 6-7 good tracks. Feels like a Drake bloat album . Speaking of Drake, he does sound like him on a few tracks.
Mar 24, 2024 Totally agree. I feel like it's his first album that lacks any true highs. And that's coming from somebody who hated his last album but even that I'd Say Something which is better than anything on here.
