    I didn't mind it the first time, but I had a sort of "what the f--- did I just watch and why does this film even exist" feeling right after it.

    Now I get the urge to rewatch it about once a year

    I never watched the full movie I only got like halfway but I enjoy hyper weird uncomfortable s--- so that might be why I liked what I saw lol

    As for the music though I think that if I go into it with the same expectations as I had with the billie album which was expecting mostly slow songs then maybe if there are any faster tempo tracks it'll be more surprising than disappointing ya know

    Music also grows on me a lot with repeated listens or if I'm in a certain mood

    I watched the whole movie. And I can definitely see the comparison to this music video.

    I dunno I expected a scary movie about some scary cult and ended up being let down. Pretentious piece of s--- movie. Filming etc was great and the idea too but it was a chore to watch.

    "A classic horror story" is a little similar to it and I liked that one a lot more.

    All of them were a lot scarier and made more sense tho

    Only movie that was WTF and s----d even more was "US". Worst horror movie I've seen the past 5 years tbh

    I heard good things about a classic horror story

    And it's definitely pretentious but I dug it lol I also enjoy movies that try to make you feel uncomfortable rather than scared if that makes sense although both have their place and I like both styles

    I agree but midsommar did neither for me. Just bore me to tears to the point I wanted to turn it off lol

    Nah. They covered that with "Get Out'. US started out as a "The Strangers" kind of movie, after that brilliant opening at the fun house. Loved when that family came in. But once the creatures did that weird a--- screaming, the stupid rabits and the "other world" got introduced.. they lost me. Ending was a little cool but man wish they explained a bit more.

    I'm sure there is a great story behind this and it all means something but I have zero interest in watching this again.

    I definitely understand that. I listened to a podcast about US where they explained some of the undercurrents and it made me appreciate it more

    but if you already got that with Get Out then judging from the trailers you might not like Candyman cause horror movies with a lot of racial under and overtones are Jordan Peele's bag which I personally enjoy cause you don't really get those all that often

    I think get out was great. Creepy as h---. US was creepy for the first part and then turned into a pretentious mess. I think the biggest problem is that I really really looked forward to it and waited months... and then was let down by that weird underworld s---

    Yeah i get it, knowing what someone was going for doesn't automatically make up for what you didn't like about it!

    And the underworld s--- was definitely super unexpected and weird.
