Jun 16, 2016 Thought I'd share this for anyone who's interested - it's a pretty cool app with 200+ bite-sized lessons on the basics of Swift, which is used to build iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps. Link: Swifty - Learn how to code! Tutorials for Swift by Johannes Berger https://appsto.re/us/HPb10.i The first 2 chapters are free (20 mini-lessons) and then you pay $2.99 for the other 12 lessons, and the price includes all future lessons/updates on the app. It helps if you already know JavaScript but it's pretty simple if it's your first time coding. Enjoy!
Jun 19, 2016 @Jordan you might be interested in this. It's fun to learn when you have 1-2 minutes of downtime throughout the day
Jun 19, 2016 d---, this is really awesome. Seems to be a more adult version of what Apple wants to do with the Swift Playground. Thanks for letting me know, I'll check it out! For everybody who's interested: Stanford University offers a very nice Swift Course which you can view for free online. In fact, it's as easy as opening it in iTunes in order to take off. Here's a direct link for you guys: Developing iOS 9 Apps with Swift
Jun 19, 2016 Ooh d---, I'll be checking this out too! Awesome find. I still have to check out Swift Playground too, is it meant to be for young kids to start coding?
Jun 19, 2016 Swift Playground is meant to let you learn and use Swift code in a fun way. Apple probably has the upcoming generation of programmers in mind -- especially kids-- , but ever since it's about to be free (release: this fall), I'll check it out too!
