Dec 1, 2014 Music video, I fk with it a lot. I love the cinematography involved, especially when Kendrick is in the car. The chicken dance is a nice touch too. SNL performance was just something else, something very surreal, I haven't seen another artist go that hard in a performance in a long time, matter of fact probably last time I've seen an artist put that much emotion into a performance is probably Kendrick's Grammy performance with Imagine Dragons. You can feel that he was putting his heart and soul into that performance. And god d---, it was a powerful, the energy that he brought forth was just amazing to see.
Dec 1, 2014 Might use it as a bonus if maybe? They did that with the Recipe although they didn't push that like the pushed this
Dec 1, 2014 Video was unreal though, you guys notice how he was sweaty throughout the entire thing? Same with the SNL performance?
Dec 1, 2014 disagree. Thinks it's more of a "shout-out" to wu-tang. Contact lenses and ODB hair. I dunno, feels like i'm kinda reaching though. Would just feel more comfortable with kendrick paying homeage to wu-tang over tyler/kanye.
Dec 1, 2014 He was paying homage to Method Man. It was Tical's 20th anniversary on the day of the performance.
Dec 1, 2014 s----s crazy haha he's possessed man. This is what renewed my faith in him. He knows the direction he wants to go even if we don't yet
Dec 2, 2014 I think it's evident he was in some type of whacky mood when he recorded this and was mostly having fun. Honestly, when I first heard it I was like , but once I saw the video and heard the song enough times to realize there isn't enough music out there about loving who we are I grew to really dig the track
