because certain things cannot come down to an objective annotation. Not to mention the amount of reaching.

But you're in the same boat lmao. And being "tonge in cheek" aside, how are those two examples you gave even relevant or the same? The color s--- on BB was not only confirmed, its a great visual representation of shows progression

I never "went over gambino lyrics..." i thought he put out a great album, and even better overall project (music videos, script, interviews, everything included) with because the internet.

and ANY opinion is valid as long as a person defends it rationally. and ive done more to explain why I like the album than you or paul ever have to explain why you don't. so miss with that bs

As for WPG's "point" -- i thought this album was too pointed and contrived? now it's for people that need to read rap genius to break it down and analyze it? so is it too complicated to pick up immediately, or too dense for anyone to have a sound opinion or analysis? I think it's neither extremities, its just a great a album with many themes and a sprawling narrative that requires a few listens to piece together.

It's WPG that's acting like every fan of TPAB thinks the "p---- a butterfly" poem is some deep Shakespearean piece. A lot of people get that it's not some overly complex being -- just that's moreso than GKMC was.

side note: i havent read the lyrics for a single song yet..its only been 3 days.

You posted an article from 2014...were we to expect TPAB on that list somewhere? Who knows, that list could change if they re-did it this year. Only time will tell with this album.

Album is phenomenal. Kendrick went above and beyond on this project. I can see why people dont like the album. Its can be a variety of reasons. If your dont like the jazz funk sound your going to have trouble appreciating the artistry and the instrumentals. For the material itself is so deep and meaningful it can be hard to connect to nonetheless understand it. At the end of the day though the album is phenomenal and lets just appreciate the tape for now instead of trying to correctly place in raps history book. Only time will tell

hey quick question, besides MMLP2 which I was overrating partly because it was just an SL TBT review, when has one of my seemingly "premature" opinions ever changed?

Cause I can point out a few times yours has.

Also, where am I being unreasonable about this album? Haven't rated it. Haven't called it a classic. Have agreed there are moments that go too far in a certain directions (whether its the voice, or something else). And have extensively spelled out why I like the album off the bat.

you need to really get a grip of yourself this thread lol. in general, you'd be shi--ing on a poster that was acting like you are in this thread.

Again though, opinions are subjective. If Young Sinatra really does love TPAB that much I don't get why you're trying to convince him otherwise. Same goes for people trying to convince you to like it though to be fair. Just enjoy the music guys! Or hate it..whatever you prefer to do.
