Jan 27, 2025 It was one of those songs only posted to Instagram. Kendrick and Drake both did it during the battle. One can assume the sample didn’t get cleared which is why it isn’t on streaming. It’s the same case with Watch The Party Die. People thought that was going to be on Kendrick’s album but it’s another Instagram exclusive, again maybe due to sample clearance issues

Jan 27, 2025 I agree that he flows like water. The beat and that sample is super nice too, always gets stuck in my head. I think it’s an important song that got overlooked because of only being posted on IG and then the songs that followed shortly after. The whole thing was basically warning Drake and everyone of what was about to come later that day. The quickness of Kendrick’s drops after Drake’s basically confirms what he said in 6:16 in LA about having a mole in OVO. The mole was very obviously informing Kendrick when Drake was gonna drop and probably also what Drake was gonna say

Jan 27, 2025 Yeah stuck in my head too especially the part where he starts getting more agressive while stil sounding smooth af Tbh when the beef was over (not just this but any beef) bad diss songs lose replay value for me fast. With bad diss songs I don't mean bad disses, but music I don't enjoy. For example I don't listen to Rap Devil ever. It was a decent diss but dont like the song. Same w this beef; I got Fam Matters, Push Ups, 616 in LA and NLU on my playlist just as songs I enjoy a lot. Euphoria, Grahams and Taylor Made I don't but purely based on the music not the disses. U understand what I mean?

Jan 28, 2025 This was definitely planned for a while. It was way too strategic not to be. He beat Drake at his own game. And as Xzibit said recently, Drake massively underestimated Kendrick and so did a lot of other people. I remember some people really thought Kendrick wouldn’t respond. Kendrick used to participate in battle rap, this s--- is in his DNA.
