Also guys during the Death of Slim Shady break I'm gonna go through and change weeks to only people who've been participating. That way if others jump in I'll add them in. Just seems stupid to have 20+ weeks when only like 14ish people are constantly participating.

That way the people more involved actually get more albums to pick, the convo on this group is way better than I had expected so it's been fun. Convo is also more normal than the eminem thread lol

Also, Mid Air was about as controversial as I thought it would be review wise but I’m happy to see I was able to show a few people something new they like. Also, if you liked any part of Mid Air, I don’t plan on using Paris Texas in AOTW again so I recommend checking out Red Hand Akimbo, it’s a shorter more focused 12 minute EP that leans way harder into the rock rap stuff, and if you enjoyed some songs from Mid Air, I definitely think they’re more in their bag in RHA. Sorry to clog up the thread with a follow up from my week I forgot to post this before the new album was picked!

Skips: No hard skips but if I wanted to be nitpicky I'd say Bambi (I feel like it overstays its welcome a bit)

Final Thoughts (Skit): I don't usually enjoy artists who use whispery or soft delivery but I really liked this s---, thanks to this club I could listen to some s--- I would have never looked for on my own, some of the lyrics hit especially hard and on the whole it's a very relaxing album with very pleasing instrumentals, so relaxing and pleasing in fact that this'll be the white noise I use to fall asleep to for a while (I don't mean this in a bad or sarcastic way at all).
This album on the whole accomplished one thing, I might check out her new s--- if I'm in the mood for this type of sound, that would've never happened before otherwise
So, to sum up, I wish I could f--- her voice, since f---ing sound is impossible, I'll have to make do with her mouth

@Ripper Roo Appreciate the pick, I wanna say again that I would have never found this on my own and I'm glad I gave it a couple of spins
(I was between a 6 and a 7 but since the school system brainwashed me and left me a slave to the "7 is good enough to pass" s---, I decided to finally give it a 7 to emphasize that I liked it more than "ok")

Paris Texas - Mid Air

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would but it lost a lot of credibility when there was half a verse dedicated to his trip to the dentist.

It was a lot more diverse than I was expecting from a rock-rap album.

Overall: 6/10

Okay so this album is weird to me, I dont like it really, but don't necessarily hate it. I find the vocals and rapping boring as f--- on most of the songs. Sounds the same all the time, the few songs I liked I found they sounded a bit different. I actually really liked "aint no high".

I love a lot of "rock rap" (beastie boys, cypress hill, rage against the machine, limp bizkit) but they're on a whole other level than Paris Texas. I just feel like if youre gonna do rock rap you've gotta have a certain charisma and Paris Texas is lacking that.

Anyways I feel like some of the younger members might like this album and type of music, I just feel like the pioneers did it way better. Still appreciate the pick from @lowkitz, I love checking out the different musicians I havent heard before.

Maybe I'm just old but this album to me isn't it.

My rating is a 5/10
