The more people leave the more I get to pick an album so it's a lose-lose for everybody

My next pick is locked but don't give me any ideas cause a few bands immediately popped into my mind as soon as you said that

I know my score won’t be counted since I’m late but I will still submit my review tonight/early tomorrow! Haven’t had the time this week at all to sit and take the album in. Excited to hear the whole project since it brought in surprisingly mixed opinions

Ice Cube - Laugh Now, Cry Later

    Little late, but anyways;

I forgot how great of a producer Lil Jon is. Its easy to remember his screams but dude made some bangers. I really like Cube's energy, he has that agressive delivery without it getting annoying like Eminem in his Recovery days.
The album switches up lay back songs like Growin Up, Gotta Lotta That & Doin What It Pose 2 Do w absolute bangers like Go to Church.

WC really is a nice addition to the album and Snoopy delivers as always. GTC is one of my favorite collabs of all time tbh.

The great thing about this album is you can listen and vibe to it front to back, but also listen to every one of them (aside from skits ofc) on shuffle because they all f---ing slap!

Fav songs; Go to church, stop snitching, spitting pollaseeds, chrome and paint... but really almost all of them lol

    8/10

You could choose ian's Valedictorian. I've heard @DKC is a big fan of him

I’ve seriously been tossing around the idea of choosing a polarizing album next just to spice the ratings up

Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

    review

favorite tracks: Moonchild, Infinite dreams, The Evil that Men do, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

least fav: Can I play with madness, The Clairvoyant

The peak of Bruce Dickinson's first stint in the band when it comes to musicianship, complexity, and artistic achievement, this semi-concept album finds the band in excellent form, fully integrating synthesisers into their sound in a way which proved that the lessons of Somewhere In Time had been well-learned. I have to single out Infinite Dreams, one of my favorite tracks. It crams in a whole album's worth of quiet reflection, operatic bombast, and metal accomplishment into just six minutes, but more or less every track on here is a keeper. Essential Maiden, on par with Number of the Beast or Powerslave. I don’t listen to this type of music often but this record for sure falls into the category of classics that are aging very nicely.

d---, people aren’t participating as much. It’s sad to see this group dying off so quickly. I’ll probably have my review in tomorrow.

It's funny to me when people refer to bands like Maiden, Priest or Sabbath as rock. Those bands are pioneers of Heavy Metal. They defined what Heavy Metal is so in a way that makes them more ''metal'' than what is considered metal today.

I think the term ''Classic metal'' describes the era or genre perfectly and shows how much it has evolved over the years. I've never seen it be used before until you mentioned it.

If Maiden doesn’t immediately turn you off you might find yourself getting into their music. I thought they were just okay when I first heard one of their popular songs at around 14 or 15 but it wasn't until I was exposed to more of their songs and paid closer attention that I really appreciated their music.

Finding music you connect with is a powerful experience

Moving back into college in one week, but I got a nice schedule so hopefully that will provide me with more time to get these albums listened to earlier! The weeks fly way too fast in the summer and it’s the next week before I even realize. I’ll have that Cube review in tomorrow
