I found it so fun to see that someone never heard Watcher 2. Like I would never pick BP2 as an album but to introduce people to new songs u never expect >>>

I’m surprised no artist in here hasn’t self-promoed yet.

Yeah some that said yes I've never seen posting here at all but some also completely dissapeared like hardygon (not that I care) and it seems Omar Little as well left, this thread at least.

True. Others tried this before but it always died off pretty quickly. For some reason it sticks now, agree that the weekly format helps a lot.

It's somewhat of a spin off from previous threads like the durag sessions. But the weekly format makes it more convenient.

We should all wear MAGA caps and t shirts with the russian flag when we play it.
Yeah also would be too chaotic and impossible to keep up lol

I agree, but I do think that there might be some debate over what constitutes a major release. I remember back in December, people were suggesting that the new Ice Cube album was a major release lmao.

TDOSS was easy to choose because I think everybody in this thread is at least semi active in the Em thread. I feel like GNX could've been a good choice if it wasn't a surprise release. Same thing with Chromakopia even if I wasn't that big a fan of it personally. I think that the artist's current reception is also a factor, like I think most people would agree the new Kanye, Drake and Future albums (V2, $$$4U, Mixtape Pluto) aren't really event worthy these days .I do think that Carti and Rocky could be good events, but I feel that we should do like a Yes/No vote to see if the majority of the club is interested in doing the album(s).. Since there's 8 members, a count of 4+ would be a good amount to confirm an album imo.

70s pretty much marked the ending of the golden era for domestic violence too.

But yeah I thought 80's was a good idea because it still gives people a lot to choose from but also narrows s--- down a little.
