Oct 1, 2015 I only recall one show I was in being taped and I'm pretty sure it was just my friend's set because he did a 20 min as he was president of the club and it was his last show before he graduated. You should lower your expectations lol, I definitely improved vastly but I still wasn't that great overall. It's a hard thing to truly get good at but thankfully the audience at smaller college shows (40-50 people-ish, higher or lower depending on the show) is usually on your side. You'll have no trouble if you've done rap battles. But yeah, I think it's a valuable experience for anyone who's interested. I joined the club mostly because my friends ran it and the meetings were an outlet to test jokes and have your writing be heard.
Oct 1, 2015 word you're definitely convincing me to try lol. thing with me vs u is being a cute chubby indian is a visual gag within it self :=)
Oct 1, 2015 Honestly doesn't matter how good you are. Even if you k--- it one night, you can bomb the second with the same set and energy. It's all about confidence to a certain extent but the crowd is the biggest factor. Doing a 20 minute set where none of your jokes land feels like 3 hours and makes you want to reevaluate your life
