I was 16, so I didn't really realize the weight of it at the time, but they were great. No live band or anything but it still blew my teenage mind.

f---, come to think of it, I paid $70 for a two day pass to Bumbershoot to see Tribe, Kanye, and a bunch of other stuff that year! So f---ing cheap. It was during Kanye's Late Orchestration tour and he brought out Lupe for Touch the Sky (this was before Lupe's debut even dropped). 16 year old me had no idea how dope that was at the time.

This year at Bumbershoot (music festival in Seattle, though you probably figured that out) I paid $90 for a one day pass to see the Weeknd/half of Atmosphere/half of Cake and not get into FlyLo or Chance. :wow2: This festival gets shittier and more expensive every year, probably never going back. Though last year I saw Mac DeMarco, Wu-Tang, Danny Brown and SZA for like $70 which was a great deal.

And to be on topic De La Soul was there a few years ago as well but had kind of a s--- stage. Also saw them at Sasquatch two years ago and the sound was amazing which made up for their s-----y stage at bumbershoot.

Also one of the dudes in de la was wearing fkn socks and jordan flip flops on stage.

$90 still isn't too bad to see a couple of artists, just had a look at last years line up and it looked like there were a few good artists playing over the three days. It's a shame you feel that way about going to another year but totally understand. It all adds up in the end and the money Coulomb always go to something more useful.

Lol, at least the guy from De La was comfortable =p I got to see them in Aus a good few years back, I loved it, their energy and the vibe was great.
I had the same thing happen with Cyprus Hill, saw them at a festival, really didn't enjoy it but then saw them again on their own and they were great, luckily. It's really disappointing to pay to see an artist you like and have that change your enjoyment of them.

I feel like most of what I listen to could be placed in this thread...

This was my vibe all throughout High School and the start of College.

When I have time I'll compile all these tracks into a playlist. :wow5:

Would probably be a Youtube playlist though as some of these tracks aren't on Spotify.

Yeah, it's not awful, it's just a shame because the festival used to be better AND cheaper. They added the Key Arena as an indoor venue for some of the bigger acts and if you want to see any of the nighttime shows you basically have to go inside at 5 PM and wait inside for hours because if you don't go early you won't be able to get inside...which would be fine if everything you wanted to see was at that stage but that's rarely the case. The whole draw of a festival is that you can come and go to shows as you please with little hassle.

Love the production on this so much.
