    Outside of a handful of tracks, this album is audio NyQuil. Who on earth produced this thing?

    Beats aside, it really drove home how little J. Cole seems to have to say right now. His technical rapping is still elite—but the core thesis is basically: I came back home, I’m famous now, and home doesn’t feel like home anymore. That’s… it? For someone routinely characterized as one of the best living rappers, I expected something more.

    Exactly. What a day it will be when some of these guys come down from the initial hype and realize this album is definitely not a classic lol

    I knew it! I knew that with all those expectations he imposed on himself he would try to be all this big genius and gets so artistic. That's why there's so much bland, unnecessary singing on this album and the beats are... Well, he's never had a good ear for instrumentals... It was much better on "The off-season", when he focused on being a rapper, not a big artist.

    Is JID still signed to Cole?

    Regardless, the student's become the master at this point. God Does Like Ugly is 1000x more compelling than this bloated double disc.

    Quick stop might be my favorite… had a n----- tearing up a lil. When he rapping in bruh perspective make me think on life.. them violins and guitar ain’t making it no better lol

    Naw.. I’m in eastern North Carolina.. , I know he won’t coming this way lol. Besides Fayetteville, He be strictly in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro areas. I understand them the big cities, but d---, show love to the mid sized cities in the EAST lol . He did shout out Greenville in old dog.. I was waiting on that Rocky Mount shoutout, coke got love out here, and we right up interstate 95, so he come through here back and forth between Fayetteville and NY for sure.

    Never been a Cole fan, in fact I've been one of those who found his music to be boring. But this album. It goes super hard, I'll be bumping it a lot. AOTY contender level

    Cole need to make a YouTube channel.. take us on a journey with him rebuilding the Honda civic lol. I would respray that mf, put some lil 18s or 20s on there, redo the interior , all that

    Why they put that dope a--- s--- at the end of that long as singing intro on 39 intro… smh , they should’ve separated that s---.. can’t even add it to my playlist because of the long a--- beginning lol
