White folk use marijuana at similar rates as black and brown folk but black and brown folk are four times more likely to be arrested for using weed...then they get criminal charges and are part of the system...harder for them to get higher paying jobs, etc

When Black and brown folk were stopped and frisked 95% of the time there was no weapon or paraphernalia found. White folks were actually more likely to be carrying drugs and weapons and they were stopped and frisked less. Stop and frisk was ruled unconstitutional in 2013.

Two candidates for a job with similar qualifications....A white sounding name like Harold Bernstein is more likely to get a call back from a potential employer than a black sounding name like Jamal Donaldson

what type of cuisine you want to eat?

assuming you're just staying in Manahttan:

If you're looking for straight NYC authentic:
then definitely go to a Halal Cart/Street Meat Cart and order some chicken over rice or lamb over rice with white sauce and hot sauce, don't pay more than $6 for that.
Any pizza spot is probably going to be good, even the cheap $1 pizza places.
In the morning, any bagel place is going to be pretty good also.

If you want indian food, there is place called Curry Hill, an area with mad very good indian restaurants at affordable prices.
If you want Korean food there is Korea Town, has good places also
If you want authentic dominican puerto rican food, then if you go uptown a little bit in washington heights and spanish harlem you'll find some great food up there.
For cuban food, there is an NYC chain place called 'Sohpies Cuban Cuisine', they have a bunch of places around the city and they're mad good and fairly affordable
There's a lot of good Poke and Sushi spots too and Ramen too.
