He's had a great season no doubt but everything changes in the playoffs. Gameplan will be tighter and more focused on limiting him and I don't think anybody on Boston can take enough advantage of that extra attention. They split during the regular season so this is a 6-7 game series either way.

They can definitely choke, they've lost games like this all year but Nets legit rolling out a D league squad tonight.

@El Ares Joey album 6.4/10 from Pitchfork. That's what I mean by you have to fit a certain mold to earn praise from some outlets...be it a flashy image, egocentric public persona, "different "voice, unorthodox fashion style, etc..you have to be "unique" for the sake of standing out...it's played out...I see through their bs....that album is a 8-8.5/10 by normal rap fans...if kenny or Thug had the exact same album...same lyrics and production it'd be a 9-9.5/10 from Pitchfork. Joey lays kinda low like Cole, isn't flashy and has a more traditional rap voice so he doesn't really fit the mold for Pitchfork praise

But wat about killer mike? Hes about as traditional as it gets rap wise and isnt really all on social media similar to cole. Dont know exact ranking but all the rtj albums are ranked highly.

RTJ production from el-p is what mostly gets them the praise. Unorthodox electro/experimental hip hop production.

Get most rappers on el-p production and they'd get better reviews from Pitchfork. That's the style they prefer. Traditional rap fans aren't into that as much.

Cole, Joey and others have touched on similar subject matter as Killer Mike...and have the talent and rapping ability but with more traditional approach to production. It's a matter of taste in production. Outlets like Pitchfork prefer that particular style of hip hop. So I think it's El-P that puts RTJ in that top rated review lane.

Ok well we might disagree on that cus a lot of waynes more experimental albums have been rated horribly. 06 summertime and gkmc arent really experimental and are critically acclaimed globally.

Even if u dont like the more eccentric music that is rated well i think youd be being reductive by saying its rating was based solely on how eccentric it is.

My other point was, dont u think music that is well exexuted and completely different/original deserves praise for that?

Joey album is a lot better than 4yeo and that got a 6.7. I wouldn't pay attention to p4k scores. Those never really add up to the written review. Same thing with needledrop etc. The scores are a cheap way to judge a review imo.

I'd say they're both pretty even. No song on Joey's as dope as 4YEO title track...and Immortal and Neighbors are more memorable than most of Joey's album. Joey's album consistently solid though...no downers like Ville Mentality, She's Mine Pt. 1...
