    I think it's not. They decided they want to keep the sale numbers in music involved so they had to re-adjust somehow to match the past. CD's have almost zero value nowadays.

    People get pissed about these new rules like it makes going platinum too easy, nah it just adjusts the scales to be something like what they used to be when it wasnt as hard to push a million. With the old system, a massive percentage a sales just wasnt counted.

    Edit: oops I didnt read your post after this where you said basically what I said lol

    Catching up with the political talk... Did ya'll see Hilary go on the breakfast club and talk about how she always keeps hot sauce in her bag?? That s--- was so cringe it wasn't even funny. Not to mention she's a g.d. criminal. Trump a million times better imo.

    It's a necessary evil. I completely understand. But I don't think it reflects albums sales anymore. Don't get me wrong he deserves to be compensated for hotline bling streams but just because hotline bling was played individually so many times doesn't really sit well with me that views should already be selling 700k. I completely understand the rule but it's not equivalent to 700k plays or sales of an album. I don't have an alternative so I'm fine with the rule but the album stream/sale isn't the same anymore. You can have one popular song carry you to platinum when in reality everybody just cares about that one song. Doesn't mean people care about your album as a whole. But it's all good.
