It is doe, u werent expecting a "traditional" gospel album by kanye right? Its a kanye version of a gospel album. Lots of religious and spiritual lyrics and references to traditional gospel with church organs n stuff like that :kanyeshrug: i can see where he was coming from with that statement

Not really buying it. College Dropout way more of a "gospel album" than this could ever be. Just because you have a choir opener doesn't mean you it was even that gospel but I'm just making fun of him I know what he meant. He means in terms of inspiration. He just engages in hyperbole that makes it easier to clown him.

Eh imma have to disagree bro, the album itself is like one big organized mess if that makes any sense. There are a lot of left-turns and there really isn't much of a consistent theme but it does make the record very intriguing. I do think it's more of a feel-good album if anything since the vibe and direction of it is far removed from the turbulence of Yeezus or the hedonistic content of MBDTF.

I feel like the first half is pretty consistent as far as the message and even the overall sound he's going for. And circa freestyle 4 it starts kinda spiraling out into something darker and less focused. Yea tlop is not as consistent as a yeezus or 808s but i dont think its as messy as some make it sound. I still get a positive, spiritual grateful overall feel from the project as a whole which is what hes clearly going for. I do get the criticisms tho i know its nowhere near kanyes best effort, but not a bad album at all
