    I really wasn't vouching for the show like that lol. I just like concept of a large platform where people debate rap music. First take was just the first thing that came to mind.

    I think doing it in the style of SportsNation would be dope. The SN format would allow for more open discussion and use of video, social media, etc. in their discussions.

    But your point is absolutely right. A hip-hop discussion show would be really cool.

    @Kold @Lockness what if there was a show like "The View" for hip-hop with washed-a--- commercial rappers talking about hip-hop gossip. Who would be the hosts?

    Joe Budden (has a podcast, more fan than artist these days)
    Snoop Dogg (legend who I don't count as washed up in terms of relevance, but he's more cultural icon not popping as an artist. GOAT sense of humor, would be hilarious)
    Plies (would also have me dying)

    Thats just off the tope of my head. I'm sure there's more.

    Staples might be the most woke dude in hip-hop. All his interviews leave me impressed, and Summertime '06 was dope to me because it was super meaningful without trying to be poetic.

    He'd be dope in a setting like a hip-hop forum.

    He's hilarious and very informed on what he's talking about, honestly he might just be my favorite rapper nowadays. The content on S'06 hits real close to home to me so I've had it on repeat since it came out, easily one of my favorite albums in recent memory.

    What I like about him and Cole is that they generally are straightforward & vivid when it comes to writing, a few witty lines here and there but the point they try to get across comes off as very easy to understand and without the need of excessive detail.

    Yeah, S'06 has consistently grown on me. I think it's criminally slept on.

    And yeah, I appreciate the lyrical style that Cole and Staples use. I think that's where the relatibility comes in because it's so direct and honest. I hear people criticize both Cole and Staples for it but I think it takes talent to get across a concise point that holds depth.
