but yeah i really can't deny it, what we have now is essentially the bare bones of telling the story ... you're able to connect the dots, but you can't really take out even one song in terms of telling the story ... think about how you connect the dots now ... and then think about taking out just one song ... all of a sudden the story becomes even more disconnected ...

so i guess cole kinda did that on purpose, he wanted to make the most concise project possible and he did a good job with that ...

but you can certainly add a few records to beef it up and it wouldn't hurt ...

throwing in another absolute b-----r even harder than immortal right after immortal would certainly take the album to another level ... would make u go s--- cole aint playing around starting the album with immortal and then another b-----r ... and then perhaps you thrown in even another one somewhere between deja vu and change ... thats really all u need, two extra songs of a total of 12 and i think it brings the album up a whole other notch

Honestly everyone expecting them to do some TPAB type s---. They've been doing that on their solos... why not drop 14 tracks of just straight heat? That'd be something no ones expecting

i hope there will be a lot of the experimental heave instrumentation singing s--- ...

i don't know if everyone will agree with me on that but i love that and thats one of the biggest ways in which their styles have become so congruent now ...

because they are both doing a lot of that nowadays and its something which takes the genre to another level imo ... so i would not accept an album without that and just full with bars, because its not taking full advantage of both of their extremely wide ranging skill sets ...

i think it should be like 15 songs with 1/3 heavy bars, 1/3 big banging beats big hook hit records and 1/3 experimental instrumental singing s--- like i said ...

but not like 5-5-5 songs of each but rather mixing these elements into each song roughly 33% each in a way that makes sense

a few songs for sure, but i think you have to take advantage of these new skill sets which they are both bringing and are so congruent with each other and are taking the genre to another level

this album has to be some game changing s--- people won't accept anything less, so i don't know if just bars would do the job

although there definitely should be a few tracks where they just going off, absolutely

Idk, I just doubt they'll use that platform just to rap a bunch of nothing. Think they'll try to say something. Their albums been like that they whole career, don't see them switching it up

i said this before and ill say it again ... even tho kendrick has tackled "social justice" issues for two albums now and cole one ...

is that really enough to change the destructive cycles in society when rappers have been making 100000 of albums for decades about the other end of the spectrum ... glorifying the street life ...

cole and kendricks collab is going to have to tackle these issues even more and really try to make a change ... ALTHOUGH i 100% would not want another album which follows a story concept the whole way through ... a loose theme perhaps, yes absolutely, I'm sure they will find a creative way to do it .. but they should not restrict themselves ...

it should be all of their best songs with a rough concept reflected in the title and a lot of songs which tackle issues but not exclusively that ...

Calling it right now, that Kendrick and Cole will be unexpected. Not saying all of it will be unexpected, but 75% of the album will not be what people expect. I just just think Kendrick and Cole are in a different space creativity (as with TPAB and 4YEO) other than just penning BARS after BARS. I think both of them are more concerned with "What are we going to say on this album" as opposed to "let's rap our a----s off just to have Bars."

I'm sure they working on it right now, cole motivated with all of the criticisms he's receiving for an album, AGAIN

untitled umastered dropped march 2016 and tpab march 2015 ... they both seem to like leaving exact years between their projects ...

February will be exactly that for kendrick

it doesn't count for 4YEO because its only 10 songs and cole did this on purpose knowing the collab coming soon ...

they for sure been working on it we know this ...

One of my concerns is that we may never hear those old tracks from when they first met. Sonically I kinda don't want another TPAB/4YEO but at this stage in their careers I think it's the only thing I can see them do.

it def grew on me but not enough to fall in love with the album.

I still enjoyed Born Sinner and FHD more but this album isnt as bad as i thought before.

Only issues i have is the album is short (10 tracks, maybe 6 real songs?). I think Cole should've added 2 tracks. I feel 03 adolescence and Tale of two cities would've been dope as h--- on this album.
