Aug 3, 2015 In 2009, I always said that if Em could just use his normal voice with his multi's, he would be amazing. Now, it's like he's doing that. With Recovery, he slowed down his flow but in MMLP2 it sped up again. And in SXV/Southpaw it's Relapse speed with a normal voice. His subjects right now aren't as dark though.
Aug 3, 2015 Even with SXV and Southpaw it does seem more forced than it did on Relpase and he's still rapping quite fast and choppy
Aug 3, 2015 I think he was trying to copy his MMLP1 flow, which was a little choppy, but now he's more choppy.
Aug 3, 2015 I've never heard him flow like this before. I find his freestyle flows weird as f--- too like how he drags out the last word then pauses for ages. Like '... cos I'm out of my d--- MINDDD *5 second pause*' it reminds me of Borat when he was learning not jokes.
Aug 3, 2015 Relapse was smooth and watery. Stay wide Awake got me like Plus, beats were good. Plus plus, he wasn't forcing s--- like he does with his new garbage.
Aug 3, 2015 There's a stark contrast. Em's flow is not as easy going or natural as it was on Relapse. I for one dont have a problem with his flow whatsoever. Here and there it can get ridiculous (like on Speedom) but my only concern with his music right now is his mastering/mixing/beat selection.
Aug 3, 2015 A good example of him flowing with the relapse flow and using a regular voice is "Drop the bomb on em" not the greatest song but at least his flow is smooth
Aug 3, 2015 What the f--- are you talking about? His flow was great on MMLP2. His flow was one of the strong points on that project. Everything since in flow (Shady XV/ Southpaw) has been almost complete dogshit. All people do is complain about Em. When "Calm Down" dropped in July 2014, people were saying the only good part in the song was Em. Now they have to pray to get a decent Em track where the flow isn't terrible (KND for example).
