Sep 3, 2017 Totally agree. I honestly believe that if Rubin never entered the picture towards the end of Em's recording sessions for MMLP2, the original album he had planned would have been a million times better. It's unfortunate because there are some f---ing gems on the album and bonus disc. It had the potential to be his best post hiatus album. But once they forced those Rubin produced tracks onto the album that s--- had no chance. IMO, all those songs s---. And they sound so out of place. I would love to hear the songs that didn't make it on the album/bonus disc. I am really hoping Rubin and Alex Da Kid don't have any tracks on this new album. I'm so sick of them. And add DJ Khalil to this list too. I like him the most out of these 3 but his s--- always sounds out of place too. Just give me all Eminem, Resto, and Dre produced tracks. I'm ok with one or two unknown producers as well if they sonically fit the theme. I'd love for Bass Brothers too but I don't think that's happening. .
Sep 3, 2017 Its not classic, but its 4th in his discography. TES MMLP SSLP RECOVERY MMLP 2 RELAPSE ENCORE
Sep 3, 2017 it unfortunately is treated like his 4th classic. even in person everytime I bring up Eminem they treat recovery like some artistic renaissance he had.
Sep 3, 2017 I would disagree, I can't put it as classic. Relapse is Eminem's cult classic cause the people that like it love it including myself but recognize it's not for everyone... Recovery an mmlp2 are just Okay to average albums. With some standout tracks sporadically placed throughout the album.
Sep 4, 2017 Relapse is the closest thing to a classic he's released since his return from hiatus. Recovery was and still is mediocre. Only album worse is Encore.
