Kendrick Lame-Art came at a time where hip hop was becoming stagnant. The end of the 2000s saw bling rap transform into autotune rap thanks to the likes of Kanye and Wayne, and began to propel rap into mainstream mediocrity with a low bar for lyricism.

When Kendrick was making noise he had a lot of Compton legacy to live up to, and had a lot of guidance from TDE affiliates and Dre. Honestly Kendrick is the definition of mid, just go look at his numerous writing credits on every song he has done. He most certainly has industry input in all his music, even if some are sample credits just go look on Wikipedia, it's insane.

His whole concept of GKMC is a fallacy too, My Adolescence on Angeldust refers to weed laced with cocaine, but Angeldust is actually PCP. Cocaine cannot be burned in a joint, it wouldn't do anything... hence why the crackpipe was invented, so give it a slower burn at a melting temperature. Nobody laces weed with cocaine, it just doesn't work.

I looked into ‘Mr. Duckworth’ deeper and found out he's a straight A student from a Compton public school and has asthma, sounds like the definition of a nerd to me. Hardly should be talking anything gangster, even if it was around him he has no stripes from running the streets.

Then when TPAB came out he starts praising the Negus and doing the whole pseudo-intellectual race relation shtick. But guess what? The Negus are the ones who started the slave trade.

A lot of what Kendrick has done just seems like a forced industry plant. He really isn't that capable of being deep or thought provoking. The fact he won a Pulitzer is pretty laughable, more like a virtue signalling award to appease the diversity quota.

Kendrick is a 6/10 rapper at best, even ScHoolboy and Jay Rock outshine him on every feature.

I hate Drake for a whole different set of reasons, and I'm from Toronto- he has done a lot for our city but has ruined hip hip in many different ways.

Also, age of consent is 16 in Canada

I don’t hate drake but the guy is weird. Then again he’s from Canada so that’s to be expected.
