Feb 1, 2015 eh bad guy, rhyme or reason, legacy, rap god, evil twin and groundhog day are all godly the rest is kinda sappy and definitely not the horrorcore spitfire s--- we were blessed with on xv, sslp and parts of relapse, but i think being back in that mmlp mindset has helped him a lot, personally and musically recovery clearly has more mass appeal even though it's been on shelves for nearly five years now, but 10 million in cds and singles after just fourteen months is nothing to scoff at I'm not mad he called it mmlp2. I understand his reasons why and don't think the album is just average especially compared to the rest of rap right now, I like it a lot, but the next lp is imo going to be a far more cohesive and compelling project than anything he's done in the last decade, I'm fairly certain of that
Feb 2, 2015 You dont like the compliation, riiiight.... I get that. You don't like fineline?? Riiiight... I get that too. You don't like the flow?? Fantastic, let's get you a medal.... maybe seal of bravery? The part I can't take serioulsly thought is that he's 'spewing garbage' on the whole song, because purely and simply your are talking horse s---. Yes it's all objective and all opinions, but I'd like to know which godly emcees you listen to on a daily basis, to be so confident in calling this s--- garbage. lol.
Feb 3, 2015 I've used the same screename on practically every message board I've ever signed up to since I was 15 you f--- stick. How can anyone take you serioulsly when you are a f---ing chocolate chip??? GTFOOH.
Feb 3, 2015 everyone likes the compilation, some people are just mad em is better than their favorite rapper again
Feb 3, 2015 Your absolutely correct, i went back and listened to it. These lyrics are not only godly, but the rhyme scheme is astounding. He painted such a vivid picture here "Hate even going outside it <---------weird? Sucks, sometimes I just wanna walk in Target and look at s--- browse <--------weirder? I don't even want to buy nothin' <--------your rich, why would buy anything at target I just wanna f---in' walk around inside it" <---------weirdo? No way an amateur could write this next set, only someone who has been rapping for 20 plus years "So I notice how I paint myself <-----------i dont get it And through my hair when ordeals I'm so vain I want my respect but ignore the Butterfly effect that comes from my dialect <--------way over my head Till I, sit in the dark and I reflect And my reflection shows what it's like here <--------deep Cause this vanity, surrounded by all these lights, yeah" <-------whoa, settle down, too raw This ones my favorite, so memorable, how on earth did he think of this. "Another day, another hotel, the inside of it's nice though <------awesomeness Oh well, this is my life so as I go and try to close for the nights show See how far that line goes, still blows my mind, show business Guess I'll never get some of this s--- just always feels so weird<-------f---ing brilliant To this day cause all I ever did Was just say the s--- I would've wanted to hear Other people say to me when I was a kid<-------i guess they should have told you not to rap, then you could walk around in Target So please don't make me some type of hero Cause I will say some inspirational s--- in a real way but will still have a field day With some of the f----- up s--- in the world and tell it to sucking a d-ck" <---------inspirational?
Feb 3, 2015 On the thread topic - Right now, Eminem IS the best if we're speaking from a strictly technical and lyrical standpoint. If you go on genius and read the annotations and rhyme schemes of his songs off SHADYXV - you can see what I mean. I'd hate to admit it, but to an extent : @csw621 is right. But did the things I just mention necessarily mean the songs are good? No. For instance, Right for Me could've been on par with his pre-hiatus stuff if he hadn't given a nearly unlistenable flow. The lyrics were absolutely there, but he f----- up the execution. If Marshall improves his beat/hook choice and flow - we could be in for a really good album. He'll have everything he would need, and I don't think he is stupid enough to f--- up if given the right circumstances. When @Koolo announced how the roots album was being created, I honestly wasn't sure how I felt. "Roots" sounded like another name for MMLP3. But when he told everybody that he would have songs with dre and xzibit - I would be lying if I said that didn't hype me up a little bit. If anybody can push him in the right direction, those two can. So hopefully those songs turn up sooner or later so we have an indication of what our expectations should be. But until then, I'm gonna say yes. I believe that Marshall will listen to the criticism we give him and get his s--- together for his first decent album in 5 years.
Feb 3, 2015 so basically you haven't matured at all since 15? oh everyone? http://www.metacritic.com/music/shady-xv/eminem
Feb 4, 2015 Yup, you're right. Well done. I'm like Robin Williams in Jack, I didn't grow up at all. I just got taller. Narsh f--- outta here anyhow.... the f--- do you care?? Hypocrite alert... is 'Narsh' not the same screen name you used on SL?? Come on dawg, have you not matured in like 5 years?? Because using a simplistic screename because it's easy to remember automatically means I'm immature, yet you're the one trying to pick holes in something largely irrelivant to the subject matter
Feb 4, 2015 Nooo I mean objective, you know synonymous with unpredujdiced, or unbiased or maybe impartial? Everyones inidividual opinion in theory is their own right?? Why not??
Feb 4, 2015 wooooow fam. I don't even know where to start with your detailed intricate knowledgable critique here. I think 'over your head' sums it up perfectly though.
Feb 4, 2015 But not as awkward as people who claim to hate Eminem's music so much yet stay on a forum all day and talk about him
