I like this approach. I think it'd probably be the best for my type of life and personality.
Replacing a bad habit with a good one instead of giving in to anxiety and desperation, lol. Whenever I get cravings, I should go out for a run or do pushups or whatever and focus on that to get my mind off cigs.

if you do go the vaping route — I know they make vape juice with 0% nic. With smoking/drugs a lot of it is the ritual aspect of it whether that's rolling, taking a smoke break, mixing a drink, whatever, so it might be easier to keep that ritual aspect while removing the harmful effects. I'm not sure if there's anything harmful in the 0% nic juice but it's certainly less harmful than nic at least.

Probably sounds stupid but like, you just stop hey.
7 months cigarette free atm and didn't do any bs to stop, apart from actively deciding to and making a concious effort to reject them even though my brain may be telling me I need one.

I’ve never smoked cigs myself so I’m not in any position to give advice, but my grandparents were smokers and they basically stopped cold turkey. I’d imagine that doesn’t work for everybody though

You got this. Also watch out for the morning smoke. This is your best chance considering you went hours already. Put the patch on and go for a run instead. Play Not Afraid by Eminem too.

Cigs got way too expensive. I quit but was easy for me, I got a med card. I’d get a small amount of thc or even delta 8 flower or a cart. Just take a few hits whenever you’re itching for nicotine. I remember a few used nicotine gum for a while.

A few people who quit after smoking for years did so by running every morning. Exercise when you are feeling pressure to smoke. That’s probably the best option rather than trading one habit for another.

This guy is just setting you up for failure. Worm gets enjoyment by watching one go through pain. Quitting certain things cold turkey can also k--- you, of course worm leaves that out.

Why can’t the op take a few shots in the evenings? He’s quitting cigs not alcohol. The alcohol could help take some pressure off. I’d ask your doctor for like 30 zans but some places I guess it’s hard to get benzos. Only use for 10-12 days and you’ll be in the clear.

Okay smart guy. Arod in 2006/07, worm and worms goons were on his d-ck. You guys were even replacing Jeter with Arod as the main face. Arod trolled you harder than Monk.

Got some muscle relaxers added to my cocktail from the surgeon btw. Now to chill, 2 muscle relaxers, 2-4 benzos and half the week eating edibles a few hours before. A couple hydrocodone 10mgs. I eat them at once, you can’t even walk straight once they all kick in. You’re lucky I’m injured atm or I was going to be posted in Manhattan for that Mets series.

Patches are what worked for me.

Tried the vape thing but it never worked. And everyone I know who transfered to vaping ended up vaping more than they smoked.

Patches is basically cold turkey without the uncontrollable nicotine cravings. And you're quitting the mental addiction of having something in your mouth to inhale.

If you're ready to quit, patches will get you there. But you really need to want to quit for them to work. All it takes is a little will power but not nearly as much as cold turkey which was out of the question for me.

Anyway, one of the hardest parts will be avoiding the triggers. That cigarette after dinner. No more of that. No more 5 min smoke breaks at work etc.. s--- sucks but you eventually get used to it and the sense of accomplishment helps you stay on track.

Think about the advantages. The cost, the health, the smell. You don't realize how bad cigs stinks until you've quit. The s--- stinks. You stink and don't realize it.

And try to remember those very first times you tried to smoke when you were 13 or whatever. It tasted terrible and made you feel sick. That's because it's literal poison.

    Thank you!
I don't know which method I'm gonna use. Think I'll try cold turkey and if it doesn't work I'll try with the patches and vape.
    Going to start this Sunday.
