Also this is like a really deep jmg post btw everyone. He said he needed to lose 20 pounds in what 2015? Fast forward to now and he's the hot tub king. From memory a very large percentage of fat cells leave the body via sweat, something the hot tub can provide

I think it’s true for some people, I didn’t say it was a fact. Everyone is different, so who knows

So if I eat at 7:59 p.m. I'm in the clear but if I eat at 8:01 p.m. I'm going to gain fat?

I started eating better but counting calories is confusing.
What aspect is confusing? Use an app or a notebook. Read labels. Maybe get a food scale or a measuring cup for foods that are harder to measure.

not sure what else im allowed to eat.
Whatever you want, as long as you have a calorie deficit. Extremely restrictive diets are what cause people to lose motivation and fail. A diet of foods you enjoy, if the calories are tracked, is the best way long term.

Losing 2 lbs a week at 173 lbs, while not impossible, is probably not ideal. You may lose some muscle. I'd suggest losing 1 lb a week, but lifting and eating a lot of protein to retain your muscle.

this is somewhat true but somewhat false as most things are, and the science behind this is very conflicting depending on the source

The concept comes from the idea that metabolism slows during sleep and your transition into sleep, so eating and not having the fastest metabolism means more calories/weight/fat gained. Additionally, eating before bed may affect sleep quality. However, there is no need to set it to something like "only after 8 PM" especially if you go to sleep much later. Just aim for 2-3 hours before bed.

However, some criticisms of those types of studies conclude that it's not the fact that metabolism slows down, it's the fact that eating before bed is usually an additional meal. So not only are you having three square meals a day, with some snacks in between, but you're gaining an additional 100-200 (and maybe more) calories per night by eating before bed.

Ask your doctor ofc. Me personally, I just listen to my body.

Fat cells are actually, by a large majority, lost through carbon dioxide. Sitting in a hot tub can't really make you lose weight, however athletes (specifically fighters) use saunas and the like to rapidly drop (water) weight to reach during a weigh in to compete. Very dangerous & unhealthy and must be done under supervision, but yea a hot tub being used to lose weight would be no better than a sauna.

I was just kidding. What you said was total non sense. You can eat what you'd like as late as you'd like as so long as it fits in your macros and you're in a caloric deficit you'll be just fine

Losing weight should be a gradual process, because a sudden weight loss can lead to health problems. I tried different diets in my life and not all of them were healthy. Recently, I came across this article and it looks really good and truthful way to lose weight. I think, it'll help you.

if i could make a suggestion for cardio, do the stair master instead of treadmill. My endurance and stamina have gone up tremendously since I started using it earlier this year.

May be you should just try to sit on a diet. As i know nowadays there are a lot of types of diets from Keto diet to cucumber. May be this one will be helpful https://betterme.world/articles/lose-50-lbs-in-6-months/. Or just try to find some information on internet

Well, dieting is good, of course, but I think you should lose weight in a healthy way. Different diets can simply harm you and you, on the contrary, can become fatter from them. For example, there is a method to lose 50 lbs in 6 months. It is necessary not to eat starchy vegetables, drink a lot of water, observe a calorie deficit, etc. It's safe, doesn't take too long, and can be done by anyone
