May 9, 2015 I'm capable of debating without getting angry But yeah, the cover is a bit too on the nose for me, but as far as his music I've never thought he was bad. He doesn't innovate anything drastically but he put the Houston sound back on the map even tho he a New York n----- and he acknowledges that s--- and that's real cool in my book. I'vnhonestly never heard a Rocky song that was bad enough to turn off, all his s--- is, with the exception of a few songs, 7-8.5/10
May 9, 2015 lol, i just don't know how you can say that asap rocky aint made a good song since 2013 when he just dropped 'everyday'. art rap or not, it's good music. only person who has heard anything from anyone who has heard the full album is @WPG, and he's saying that its reception has mostly been positive so far. i would have waited to make this thread after june 2nd, but that's just me.
May 9, 2015 Here's the thing His mixtape are great debut album had some amazing songs But after that....very steep decline. And the way hes been promoting the album and what he's said about it go directly against what I've heard so far, and that's frustrating. That rod steward joint was pretty dope (my girlfriend just served him dinner a couple days ago) but honestly a Miguel only version was just as dope. Rocky's charm and charisma have worn thin to me lately and without it, the flaws in his lyrics are glaring.

And this thread isn't about the album being out, its about asap getting the world on his nuts that this album will be a genre defining psych rap experiment after releasing 3 meh singles, a really great miguel song he kinda did his usual thing on and this god awful cover. So why wait
May 9, 2015 I mean imo he has one amazing, possibly classic mixtape and one above average album, and then Multiply and M's didn't really appeal to me but LPFJ2, What's Beef, and that new joint are all phenomenal. R Cali was dope too. Idk, I feel like iit's one of those things where, if you have a certain pov, it's really easy to dismiss him rn, but as soon as ALLA drops everyone gon remember why they f--- with him
