The surgery simply helps with their gender dysphoria. That's what's the article YOU provided is saying. I thinking helping one mental disorder makes you healthier mentally and that's what I'm arguing. The specific mental disorder we've all been discussing for 5 pages is all but removed with this surgery. Of course a lifetime of bullying can leave you will all of those problems you listed but there's no denying they at least feel like they're in the right body.
